Excellent car buying experience!!

Great dealership from the owner, Greg Norton, down to the detailing department!! T.J. Stipanovich went out of his way to get me the best deal within my budget and I really appreciate that. Frank Guerra, was also outstanding, as he stepped into the financial chair to speed up the buying process!! My salesman, Eric Klebanski, was fantastic. He took the time to show me all the new features of my new Civic as I upgraded from the 2016 model. Would highly recommend Eric!! Thanks South Hills Honda for a great buying experience!! Would highly recommend this dealership for all your future new/used car purchases!!

Does not honor deals made

I recently purchased my 2018 CRV from South Hills Honda. At the time of purchase, I was considering adding siderails and cross bars. First my salesman said he would give me 50% off. When I wanted to add them, he said he can only do 20% off, then he said he could only do 10% but don't do it now. He said come back and I'll get you the 10% I made an appointment and went back a few months later. I was there an hour and 45 minutes before I finally gave up. My salesman met me as I came in, and said he would talk to service but he never did it and never met with me again even though I had him paged. I requested a manager and was told 2 were on duty but were unavailable. Service would not even honor the price I received over the phone prior to the appointment saying they made a mistake. There were also 2 errors made in the paperwork when I bought the car.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Honda Recall Work

South Hills Honda is not willing to work with customers to complete recall work as required by Honda. I was miss-informed regarding the length of time to complete these repairs. When I arrived to have repairs completed, South Hills Honda refused to provide a loaner vehicle as required by Honda. Unwilling to sit in the service department for 4 hours to complete these recall repairs, I left extremely dissatisfied with the South Hills Honda service department and Honda in general.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Service Department Is A Joke...

Other local Honda dealers have far superior service departments. Don’t make the same mistakes we endured by going there for geographical convenience. If your looking for a service department that tells you - the customer to file your own extended warranty claim (though the coverage was bought through the dealership), never calls you to let you know if the car is done or if they are keeping it overnight, keeps vehicles for extended periods and questions customers on warranty items...this place is for you! Sales side not bad, Service department greets you with a smile, robs you blind, then smiles as they tell you to come back soon.

Proactive, Helpful Service

I've used South Hills Honda Service throughout ownership of my Odyssey. I've always found the service department to be proactive and accommodating. Easy to schedule and customer centric. I’ll continue to use them for my service needs. I often work with Jerry in service and he’s excellent.

Honda stepped up big time to resolve warranty issue.

Glad to see loyal customers are still Honda’s top priority. Local dealership and North America Honda (national) came through in the end agreeing to fix an expensive warranty issue that was very unique. Lots of frustration with all parties involved. Give the sales and service department a try...besides this bump in the road, there was a reason We bought our 4 vehicles from this dealer in prior 6 yr. period. And I love my Ridgeline!

I took my car for service due to intermittent problems starting the vehicle. We found the starter to be faulted. My vehicle was out of warranty. My service Rep, Gerald Kopelic along with South Hills Honda Mgr. contacted Honda and argued it not to be fair to replace the starter at my expense and were able to to get my new starter w labor 90% covered by Honda ! That was best news I ever heard from any dealership !!!!!!! Further, they provided complimentary shuttle service to take me back and forth to my job eliminating the stress of missing work and lost income! It is rare to find a dealer that shows such integrity and goes out of their way to go above and beyond for the customer ! They earned me as a loyal customer for life ! Lisa DeLeo ..

Negligent, Inconsiderate and Unapologetic

I was in Pittsburgh, (I had driven from NY) when my car needed to have the brakes fixed, tires rotated and oil changed. When I dropped my car off at South Hills Honda for this service, (it was near where I was staying). I informed the service rep. that the driver side door made a noise when I locked the car but that I didn’t want to fix it at this time. When I came to pick up my car, I was charged $414.39, $50.00 of that was for them to just tell me what I already knew about my noisy driver side door, (they didn't fix the noise). Then I was surprised to not even drive my Honda Fit 2 feet out of the parking spot to hear the breaks squeaking. I went right back into the service center. After hearing the noise the Honda service rep. agreed that there was still a problem with my breaks. When I came back to pick up my car the next day the 2 Honda employees that I had interacted with the previous day, (and also when I had originally dropped the car off), acted like they didn’t know who I was. I was told that "If I was here to pick up my car go to the cashier." The cashier said, “They checked your brakes and we're not charging you", Like South Hills Honda was doing me a favor, (I had already been charged for the job not done properly the first time). Not one employee that I had previously interacted with acknowledged or apologized for the inconvenience. When I tried out my car this 2nd time the breaks were really pulling but at least they weren’t squeaking, South Hills Honda had my car for 4 working days and no one had bothered to check that the brakes had actually been fixed or working correctly, twice. When I ask to speak to the manager, I was told that Mr Glenn Bowery was out to lunch. I got in my car and left. 1 day later my low tire pressure light came on. South Hills Honda had rotated my tires and put the wrong amount of air pressure in them. Variations can occur due to change in temperature, but the air pressure in my tires was way too low to be contributed to just weather temperature variations. My South Hills Honda service experience was not of the quality or standard that I’ve come to expect from Honda, they are inconsiderate, incompetent and not willing to acknowledge or apologize for the inconvenience they cause for negligent service?

Everyone was so friendly and helpful at South Hills Honda. I was greeted immediately and all of my concerns were answered fully. Buying my new car was easy, efficient, and a great experience. Effortless & Excellent

From beginning to the end everything was made effortless . This by far is the best experience I've ever had while purchasing a vehicle.They explained everything, as well as went above and beyond to answer all my questions.I had went to several other Honda dealers (Dean,Washington -Honda) and was offered absolutely nothing for my trade-in ,as well as unwillingness to work on vehicle price!That all quickly changed once I entered into South Hills Honda, and was sold a top of the line Pilot ,at an exceptional price,as well as top dollar for my trade-in! South Hills Honda still continues to exceed my expectations for seasonal maintenance and I would highly recommend them to those who are seeking a new vehicle purchase!!!

Flawless service

Had an issue with our honda called south hills honda and ask if i could bring it in that day to get handled and was told just bring it in no hassles. Pulled into their drive thru and was greeted by Jim who was pleasant and checked me in and an hour or so later I was on my way!!! Nice job on such short notice!

Incompetent

recommend unnecessary expensive work while failing to do needed critical safety repairs. Their negligence led to $3,000 damage to my car. My car was inspected, rotors and brakes replaced. 2,797 miles later ball joint failed catastrophically. Back for repair and I asked them to go over it for safety before I drove it again. Picked up, brakes not right. Back again, they said the rotors were shot . At time of inspection they recommended entire exhaust be replaced, it passed but would need to be done soon, cost several thousand dollars. 2,797 miles later they say exhaust is fine, why do you ask? Car has 83,000 miles. they recommend I have 60,000 mile service done. Nope, you already did that at 60. So then they want me to do the 90,000 service 7,000 miles early. I bought my car there and had service done there for it's whole life. I bought a Honda thinking it was a safe and reliable car and took it to the dealer for service thinking the best mechanics in the field would keep my car safe and reliable. Had the ball joint broken a mile earlier, we were in traffic on a main road and my daughter and I could have been terribly injured.

Goodbye Honda ...

Until today I have been a long time customer at South Hills Honda. I move to Ft Wayne Indiana and still drive my car home for maintenance. Today - I experienced the absolute worst in customer service. I had a 10:30 am appointment for a 30K check; called at noon to see how long it would take ... was curtly told it's a 3 hour window; stopped in at 1:30 pm to wait; was met at the front desk by someone who treated my directional question like I was a huge inconvenience to him ... and then found out that my car hadn't even been looked at!!! And was told that it wasn't ready because I hadn't told them when I needed it!! What part of I had a 10:30 am appointment was difficult to understand?! When I expressed my disappointment to the service department- the guy shrugged his shoulders and went back to whatever he was doing !!! Being dissed once was tough ... 3 times!!? Really.bad.service ... taking my car to Tad on Rt 88 ...

I would not recommend this dealer.

Horrible Service Department!

The folks in the service department desperately need a lesson in customer service. Gerald is extremely rude and condescending. We were having irregular tire wear on the inside tire(s) of a new Honda Pilot and would not pass state inspection with 13k miles. We asked the salesman if the service department could look it over to find the issue or cause so that it would not occur again when a new tire was installed. I was willing to do whatever was recommended until Gerald called and attempted to talk down to me and start blaming us for the issue. I will be picking up the car today and taking it elsewhere for business going forward. Customers have a choice where they buy and I will not make the mistake of doing business with South Hills Honda ever again. My wife and I have purchased/leased three vehicles there and regret the decision.
