Upgrade

I was getting the oil changed in my 2013 Sahara and decided to walk over to the showroom while waiting. Upon walking in, I immediately spotted a beautiful, all white Sahara with the Sky One-Touch™ Power Top... I could't resist taking a closer look, curious what else has been upgraded from my 2013 model. Julian shared with me, all the things that were upgraded. These upgrades were amazing! I was even more curious now, about the numbers. At the end of the day, we had a deal.. I traded in my 2013 and drove away thrilled in a beautiful new Jeep Sahara! Happy Birthday to me!

I cannot express how awesome my buying experience was at Southern Jeep Chesapeake!!! Kevin Klipfer(our salesman) is a true asset to the dealership and a breath of fresh air!!! Totally honest and really helped me to get a nice car with so many features. I don’t say any of this lightly, I drove a new car that I hated for two years because I didn’t want to go thru the process of car buying, Kevin won me over and Joe (sales manager) made it all come Together ! What an impressive team!!! Joe cared as much as Kevin about helping us to get into a Jeep that we all liked. Julian made my car buying experience amazing! He really tried to get me in a car that was in my price range while offering me some of the features I wanted. I've never brought a newer car before and was nervous but Julian was very reassuring throughout the process.He also helped me jump my old car when I came to pick it up. Julian is very nice, not pushy and very helpful. Ricky gave me some very useful advice to implement also. I would definitely recommend Julian to help you get in your new ride !

Brake check

Wow! Instead of changing my brakes like I asked, the mechanic properly diagnosed the issue and provided me with the right diagnosis, thank you so much!!! Thank you for being professional and kind and willing to work with me with no appointment. Would be a good idea to share with the other service managers on duty on this past Saturday morning at the southern jeep dealer location near the Norfolk airport. Very rude and unwilling to communicate with the folks coming in with no appt.

Service was great

Came in on appt for state inspection. And oil change and had some door seal issue. Joe in the service department took excellent care of my Jeep and well was informed on the work needed. Purchased my vehicle in 2014 and with people like him I will certainly keep comming back. And maybe get a 2019 next year.

GREAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT

My power windows quit working and the only thing they would do was make a horrible loud buzzing noise. The technician was excellent, he found a broken wire and ordered me the parts to fix the problem. I was pleased with how professional Lamont Berry, my service advisor was. He got me taken care of in no time. Fixed right the first time. Gotta love it!!!

Disappointing oil change

The reasone I rate the service center 1 star is 2 fold. 1. I made an appointment for an 8 o’clock oil change. When I arrived at the dealership I was informed that I did not have an appointment and that oil changes are first come first serve. The service department asked if I made an appointment online, when I replied yes, they told me that is an error on the website and it does not really book an appointment. Then I was told I should not have pulled into the service bay I should have parked my car in the line of cars that backed out into the lot. This is very frusterating that a corporation as large as Souther Auto Group has a website that the employees know operates incorrectly and it does not get fixed. 2. I choose not to wait in the waiting room I instead went to look at the new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As I walked out to the new car lot my car was being pulled out of the service bay and the guy driving it came whipping around the corner fast enough the tires squealed. I waved at him and walked twards the car and told him he needs to slow down. His responce was well the car was in gear. Then after almost 2 hours I was walking thru the parking lot and saw my car drive by the dealership on the side road by McDonalds. I thought that was strange then I saw it drive by again and the 3rd time it was pulled into the lot and parked. Yes I am sure it was my car. I drive a Plum Crazy Purple SRT8 with vinyl decals in the rear quarter windows. I do not think any of the things that happend that day reflect well on Southern Auto Group. I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and inability to keep a previously schedualed appointment.

Express Oil Change/Tire Rotation

The service Dept. had always been top notch. They’re very professional and courteous. They strive to take care of you as quickly as possible. However, during my last oil change, they failed to call me when my vehicle was finished. I needlessly sat in the waiting room an extra 45 minutes. I would have sat longer if I didn’t go ask the status of my vehicle. I sure it was an honest mistake. This is the first time anything like this has happened. This is the first time I haven’t given them a 5 star rating.

We have had a series of problems with the service department

We have had a series of problems with the service department. Lamont Berry is the only saving grace and the reason I come back there. In August of this year we had an oil change in the Town and Country, we picked it up Friday evening, when my wife drove it to work Monday morning by the time she got home for lunch the check engine light was on and it said it was low on oil, we had to stop 3 times to put oil in so we could get it back to the dealership, thankfully Lamont was able to calm my wife down had the proble fixed. In October 14th while my wife was on her way home from shopping she called me and said the car wouldn’t shift gears and the check engine light was back on.she drove home at 20 miles per hour and made it home. We had the van towed to the dealership on the 15th. We picked it up the 19th when we were told it was fixed. The van was leaking transmission fluid in the garage and driveway and we drove back to the dealer Monday the 22nd. We were to,d one of the lines wasn’t tight and they fixed it. Monday the 29th my wife was on her way to care for her parents in Great Bridge and she called and said the transmission wasn’t shifting again. I told her head for the dealership and I called Lamont once again. She wound up having to push the van off of Battlefied Blvd into Golden Corral parking lot into a parking space and we had it towed once again. I hope you can see our frustration with this. I am waiting for it to be fixed once again as of this writing.
