Sold me junk used vehical

I went in there a week ago yesterday and bought a 2003 pickup truck I was told they go through the vehicle and make sure everything is up to par and safe for the road. Well after I signed and bought the vehicle it seem like everything started to go to wrong I get home check it out the steering was completely wore out there were no brakes left on the back of the truck grinding front passenger brake caliper locked up. I really hope there's no more issues I've spent $600 in one weekend on repairs doing them myself I'm very upset. I understand it is a used vehicle but when you are told their service guys checked it out and everything was okay I feel I was lied to now I owe over $5,000 for something I've already had to put over two car payments in in less than a week. Once it's paid off I will never go back

Seamless Experience From Start to Finish

I was not planning on going to Speedway when I was doing some online car shopping, but they were pro-active and got in touch with me regarding the trade-in value of my old car (I had done an appraisal on Kelly Blue Book). I told them I was looking to trade, but unfortunately they didn't have the car I was looking to buy. Well, within a week they got back to me and told me they had just gotten the car in that I was looking for. I figured it would be worth my while to at least go look and maybe take a test drive. I ended up driving the car off the lot that night. I worked with Dawn and she was amazing. I was also considering other types of vehicles than what I originally went in there to look at and she was very patient and accommodating while I wandered around the showroom bouncing from car to car and firing off questions about each. Speedway also did a great job in getting me the most for my trade-in and worked with me to get the loan and payment numbers where they needed to be. They were even more than accommodating when I asked about certain upgrades that I wanted to do to my new car and made calls and got estimates from both local dealerships and third party aftermarket install shops. I would absolutely work with Speedway again and would recommend them to anyone that's looking for a simple and straightforward car buying process.

Great experience

We had a great experience with buying our Car. Our Car had been totalled, the Insurance was dragging there feet & our Rental was just about due. Because the Insurance was dragging there feet, we where having a hard time getting financing for an other Car. Dawn moved Heaven & Earth to make sure we got the Car of our choice. We had a great experience from beginning to end! I would have no problem buying our next Car from Speedway. I will recommend Dawn & Speedway to any of my friends & Family looking for a Car.

Worst experience ever!!

Worst service i have ever got specially on a first car buying experience. I bought a 2003 diesel ford 250 from them. I got a warrenty with it and the warrenty apperently does not cover half the stuff wrong with it. Then 2 months after having my truck my injector goes out so i replaced the one that cost 700 dollars. Then not even a month later another 2 injectors went out on it so i decided to replace them all. Not even 3 weeks after it getting fixed and it being in the shop for 2 months my injectors goes out again. Took it back to the shop and it was in there for a month and a half. Now I got a bad oil leak. I wanted them to trade me in for a different car and they cant they said no now i have this piece of Crap that is holding on by threads and they basically told me they can not help me

No bull

My experience went very well I feel. Speedway Steve was a very stand up guy and strait forward with me about everything we talked about. Once we started to get the ball rolling on the purchase of my Hyundai Elantra GT everything moved very smoothly. But like any car you are buying it's going to go smoother the more prepared you are. Thank you again speedway team!

I have purchased several vehicles from Speedway and all have proven to be good, reliable vehicles. I have recommended my mother-in-law and both of my sons to purchase a car from there. Financing is easy, and somehow they get financing to go through when i thought it wouldn't. I will continue to purchase cars there and especially from salesman Gary.

Car purchase

I just wanna say thank you to Steve and his team that made it happen for me to drive off with a 2017 Chrysler 200 LX February 22 2018, him and his team worked so hard to help me get a lower interest rate and kept my payments the same as my other car I purchased from Steve 2 years ago !!!! If it wasn’t for Speedway Auto Mall having trust in me 2 years ago my credit would still be crappy so THANKS AGAIN STEVE and Speedway Auto Mall for everything you have done for me and my family !!! I highly recommend Speedway Auto Mall and Steve to anyone !!!

I was bidding on an 04 Dodge SRT 10 on ebay motors, from...

I was bidding on an 04 Dodge SRT 10 on ebay motors, from Speedway Auto Mall, when it started to look serious I got myself preapproved with the dealership; once this happened they cancelled the auction and wanted to handle it outside of ebay. Not being a big fan of eBay’s policies and fees I went ahead and moved forward with the purchase. The salesman Dave R. assured me that the truck was “Flawless” and didn’t have a “Scratch” on it, nor did it leak a “Drop of Oil”; as they sell all over the world not just the country and would stand behind any vehicle they sold… this was not the case; After the down payment was sent, the financed portion had been paid by the bank and the aftermarket “Bumper to Bumper” warranty was set up and paid for the shipping could be arranged. When I spoke the Transport Driver I told him the truck was in “Perfect Condition” and I expected it to be delivered that way. The Driver called me after he picked the truck up and told me about some “Gouges” under the truck, which were significant to the tune of almost $3,000.00 to repair. He also told me that he pointed this damage out to JR, who is actually Dave R’s boss; I believe he may be at least a partial owner too. I immediately contacted Dave via a phone call, this was the last time he would answer my calls, he said he would check into it and get right back to me…. This has not happened even after several months. Upon delivery of the truck the damage was documented and the fluids checked…. The reason it didn’t leak any oil was because the power steering reservoir was empty; upon filling it with fluid it promptly leaked out. The power steering pump, belt, alternator, and windshield washer nozzles all had to be replaced within the first 14 miles of driving it, even with the “Bumper to Bumper” warranty this cost an additional $200.00 + to fix. Within the first 600 miles the “Brake” and “ABS” lights have come on, and the Navigation System does not work. All of this on a truck which I paid $22,000.00 for then bought a $3,000.00 warranty and then paid $975.00 to have it shipped to my house. NADA on this truck is just shy of this amount for “High Retail”, as this truck had power remote release toneau cover that lined up the rear spoiler and was fully loaded and in such great shape I thought this was still a good deal and went ahead with the purchase. http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2004/Dodge/Ram-1500-Pickup-1-2-Ton-V8/RC-SRT-10-V10-6-Spd/Standard-Equipment My wife finally got a hold of JR after a few months of neither him nor his salesman returning phone calls nor emails; he told her they have no intentions of repairing or paying for repairs to the truck because it was sold as is and buyer beware. I guess that is the morale of this story…. BUYERS BEWARE OF SPEEDYWAY AUTO MALL in Machesney Park, Illinois.
