Company seeks to backtrack on promises

We purchased a 2019 Sorento in Aug 2018. Stevenson KIA said they would be refunding the money paid out on the GAP insurance purchased on the 2015 Sorento we traded in. 4 months later and they still give us the runaround. They say everything from the check is in the mail, to lost the paperwork, to it is KIA finances fault to we will get back to you. This in spite of their claim of service before during and after the sale. look out for their finance department. In fact get financed elsewhere.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Had my wheel lock up on my 2018 Kia Sorento was stuck in a parking lot about 10 minutes away from the dealership. Call the service department for guidance when I cannot get the wheel unstuck Joe from the service department came to the parking lot got my car started and then went back to work to me that is 100% customer service thank you so much

Frustrating experience

Stevenson Kia has been our go to dealership for the past 4 years. Chris Hodge and Donald Hoff sold us our last two vehicles and I have nothing but amazing things to say about them. Unfortunately my latest experience (10/21/17) was not so stellar. Me and my husband came in to see what the trade value was on our vehicles was. We were treated by Dave. I told him I did not want to look at anything until I knew what they were going to give us for our current cars. After a hour and a half of sitting at his desk Jessie ( who was very nice and up front with us ) came out to talk to us. After a few minutes I learned that Dave was trying to get us approved for a loan for a Brand new Sedona... I was a little taken back and decided we needed to leave at that point. I never once had said we were wanting to start a loan process, or that a Sedona was what i wanted ( I had mentioned I had entertained the idea of a mini van ) so now I am left with a inquiry on my credit, and no answer to any of the questions I had on my trade in. Dave was very nice and I have never had anything but amazing service with the dealership and service department but I am left with a bad taste in my mouth after feeling like I was being forced into a van that I never even looked at.

we went to see if we could do a trade in and being greeted by DJ I started to ask him some questions shortly after I knew I was with someone very personable and comfortable with but professional He was outstanding answered questions convincingly and gave many options It was a wonderful relationship and we are so happy with our new Forte I will do recommend this salesman to all my friends if and when they are shopping for a car DJ is outstanding 5stars out of 5 stars he is a 10 out of 10 no doubt what do ever Thank You Kia Stevenson of Jacksonville

I had the pleasure of being greeted at the door by DJ Walters, he was very professional and gave me great service. I was hopeful but not 100% certain I would leave at the end of the day with my brand new 2016 KIA Soul in the exact color I wanted, as I was not sure what type of vehicle I looking for when I came in, I was sure about the color :). I trusted in God and the process that I was going into which was worth it. DJ was so considerate of me that he even took time to ask me if I would be offended by his tattoos if he removed his jacket, of course I said no and we went from there. We talked about so many different things in our lives, from his family to mine, our life experiences which included the sad news about his family cat back at home :(. DJ was very informative, he did not give me false hope but instead he reassured me that he and the Stevenson KIA team would do all they could do to get me into a new car, well they did just that!! DJ even took the time to sync my phone with my new vehicle, he went over everything with me, as well as reassure me if I need anything else he was just a phone call away. I would recommend Stevenson KIA over and over and over again, I would definitely recommend DJ. WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO PURCHASE YOUR NEXT FORM OF TRANSPORTATION FROM......STEVENSON KIA of Jacksonville is the BEST!!!!

Bait and switch tactics used here!

I will keep this short and simple so that even the Con and his sales manager con can understand this. I refused the original which was $24,500.00 purchase price less $2000.00 rebate and $3500.00 trade allowance totaling $19,000.00. I counter offered $22,500.00 as the purchase price of the car which when you minus the rebate $2000.00 then the trade minus $3500.00 Totaling $17,000.00 When presented the finance papers the numbers were exactly as the original offer except they lowered the trade value to $1500.00. which basically means they added an addition $1,500.00 to the cost of the car. When I explained the ERROR I was told that was the deal I had agreed to. When I asked for the paper that had the number I agreed to it amazingly disappeared. So bottom line is... Beware of the bait and switch tactics.

Rude and only accustomed to first time car buyers.

I had no issue with the two salesman that I interacted with. My issue was with the sales manager, Don. It was clearly obvious from the beginning that he is accustomed to working only with younger military and first time car buyers. It was also very apparent that he lacks in the social skills department. To start the conversation off, the gentleman did not even know my name, even though his salesman knew it and told him my name numerous times. For the rest of the interaction, when he walk out of his office, he would just point at me as if he was trying to summon me. He also utilized the excuse of "Please forgive me, I am new here" far too often in our conversation and that is not something I would expect to hear from a sales manager. My wife and I visited the dealership on a Thursday, worked briefly on numbers with a different sales manager but due to them closing and us not wanting to rush things, we decided to leave and return the following day. When I returned to discuss numbers, the sales manager that I worked with was currently out of the officer but Don claimed that he was familiar with the situation and would be stepping in for Troy. His first offer on Friday was $4,000 higher than where we left off on Thursday! I was baffled by this and tried to explain start to finish where we left off at the evening prior, however, in the midst of doing so, Don cut me off and walked away to his office. Jesse, the car salesman that I was dealing with, observed the situation and noticed what happen and apologized as he could see my frustration level rising. Finally after a hour and a half of waiting for Don to get his number together, he came back out and his "final" offer was still above what was previously discussed. The final straw was when my wife was told on Saturday by Troy that special authorization was given to him by the General Manager to make an offer of $35,000, even though that was the deal given by the rude sales manager, Don, the day prior. So it was clear that "special authorization "was not given as it was the exact same offer that was previously given without authorization. This is the second time within the last year that I have had similar experience with the sales management team at Stevenson Kia. Even though I enjoy the Kia product, I have been thoroughly reminded as to why I always travel away from the military town that I am stationed at to purchase a vehicle. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and will highly encourage everyone I speak with to keep their distance from this place when they are in the market for a vehicle as honesty is clearly not their policy and customer service is clearly not their game.

An absolute enjoyable experience

We chose to give Stevensons Kia a rating of five out of five stars because not only was the dealership itself clean, presentable and well structured, everyone there was very helpful especially our salesman we dealt with Mr. Donald Hoff. We had a Kia we had purchased new ten years ago from a different dealership and we brought it to the service shop here at Stevensons and it turns out our transmission was for lack of better words shot. The cost of repairs was more than the cars value. In turn we needed a new vehicle. We spent three hours with Mr.Hoff making sure we picked out the right truck we needed with the right payment amount. They even stayed well after closing to finish the deal. In love with our truck and very happy with the service.

Awesome sales team.

Walked in and was quickly greeted by Ashley. She was approachable and very helpful. She answered every question that was asked and guided me through different vehicles to find what suited me the best. She was fantastic. We then met one of the managers, Matt Cogswell. His customer service skills were not up to par with Miss Ashley. He approached me with a very aggressive attitude and a lack of manners. I then left the dealer only to return a later day to work with Miss Ashley. We finished up paperwork and got what we wanted with her. Thank you Ashley, we love our car.

I came in to help a friend get a car, in the end we both walked out with brand new cars! I especially was amazed by the price and interest rate I received, how they matched what I was looking for in a car and more within a short period of time, the service of everyone was friendly and so helpful. I was so quick to trade my car in, even though I only had my previous car for 3 months from another dealership. I'm beyond satisfied with my new car, and would refer everyone to go to Stevenson Kia of Jacksonville first for the best rates, prices, and service.
