“We don’t sell certified cars that have been in accidents”.

On October 12, 2018 I was sold a Certified Subaru Forester with 20,242 miles by Subaru of the Pacific. Was told several times by salesman that the vehicle had not been in any accidents. Total Contract price: 26k, approximately. Before purchase I noticed a small portion of the front bumper (side) was sticking out and the supervisor said it was just a missing or broken clip and he took the car into there body shop. When he brought the car out he said that he had them remove the bumper replaced the clip and when I saw it everything seemed to be fine. We had other conversations, Where he tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong and that I could see that there was no damage to the bumper as the paint seem to be unmarked. On Thursday the 18th (6days later) I experience a check engine light and other electrical issues including a power loss. The next morning I took the car into Kirby Subaru of Ventura, my hometown Subaru dealer. The problem was the brake light switch. It was fixed. Paul, the Master mechanic asked me if I knew that three portions of the vehicles were repainted and I alarmingly said no. He put the car in the shade in the shop and showed me a front and rear bumper in the left fender had been repainted and that Portions of them were done poorly especially the left fender. He advised me to advise Subaru of Pacific of this problem and to have them repaint it properly. He said that my vehicle is now devalued and that if I ever turned it in for a new car they would mark down the price because of this prior damage. He told me that the average person cannot detect this kind of damage (by looking at the repainted surface) but to a train eye such as a dealership would be able to spot this prior damage easily. My sales rep at Subaru of the Pacific had informed me numerous times that they do not sell certified cars which have been in prior accidents. At this point in time my salesman is not returning my calls or text messages and nor am I getting calls back from any one else at the dealership at this point in time. October 23, 2018 11:55 am., despite the fact that my salesman said that a manager would be calling me Tuesday morning today! No calls back from anyone! That’s whenI tried calling everyone back because there and no response!

John Jacinto met me at my car when I arrived 15 min. before their scheduled time to open. Very helpful, thorough, listened to my concerns, and addressed them all respectfully. With technology the way it is today, practically everything is done online and instantly electronically. The people at Pacific Subaru take the time to listen, get to know you and accommodate your needs. James Hartzberg and the team there take good care of your needs. I went in to order a fog light kit for my Forester. It turned out they had the kit in stock so Yessenia in service and Alex in part set me up and completed everything that day! Great job to the entire team at Pacific Subaru.

Honest and good at their job

I had issues w my 2014 forester, and begrudgingly took it to a Subaru dealer in Van Nuys, CA. After the 150 inspection fee, the rep told me that they needed another 430 to further investigate the hard code that the computer was throwing. Long story short, I refused, took it to Subaru Pacific, and they repaired what was actually wrong with my car. It needed an oil change and an injector flush. That was it, no hard codes etc. They also replaced front end bushings (be nice if they wouldn’t need replaced at 50k, but that’s a fix Subaru needs to address) and they replaced hoses filters etc. The car is running beautifully. I recommend these guys wholeheartedly. They’re communicative and talented.

Our experience was excellent Carl Lavarello was our salesman he was very friendly, knowledgeable and very up front. He made us feel at ease with the whole process of getting a new car. Good service, but

Dropped my car off for a recall service. The associate, Erick Rodas, who helped me was communicative and easy to work with. My only problem with the job was that when I got my car back, my inside compartments had been picked thru. Now they clean the car after the service, but not the inside and yet my arm rest compartment had been totally picked thru with a bunch items pulled out and placed throughout the car. I don’t think they took anything but it didn’t make me feel great knowing someone felt inclined to really dig thru my car.

They pretty much took care of everything. All I had to do was schedule a drop off. They said it would take more than 4 hours for service but finished in 2.5 hours. Great service from John Jacinto.

Basic car service

Generally efficient; this was my second service for a new car. I set apt online the day before, got email & text confirmation. At dealership on day of service, had to wait a bit before checked in. Once checked in all good. Ovy ordered an uber to drop me off and pick up, fast & efficiently! Service took longer than expected due to some service backups & a car wash machine that was down. But this was possibly due to high volume appts on a holiday weekend. Overall their service center is very good.

Great Customer Service

There’s the good and the bad. Brought my car in for minor service but also needed tires. I wasn’t sure I was going to get the tires at the dealership so they serviced the car and washed it, brought it around and I asked about the tires. They were surprised I wanted them but the cost was only $40 more than other places so for the convenience it was worth it. Now they would need another couple of hours and I couldn’t wait any longer because I had to go to work. They got me a rental car at no charge-this is the good. The bad is, I received a phone call a couple of hours later saying the parts department made a mistake and they only had 2 tires in stock but would get the other 2. Then I got a call, while I Was on my way to pick up my car, that the tire truck was in traffic and there wouldn’t be time to get the tires on and aligned before service closed for the day. So not to worry, they would let me keep the rental at no charge until my car was ready. So demerits for not having an up to date inventory system but points for excellent customer service.

First maintenance service

Subaru Pacific is a great place to buy a car. Aside from the normal reasons that first come to mind is its excellent sercice department. Steven Lee handled our 6,000 mile service. He took care of the initial paperwork very quickly and reviewed what would be done and when the car would be ready. I opted to wait at the dealer’s customer lounge. I booted up my laptop and automatically connected to the WiFi. I took care of my email while sipping on some coffee. The work was completed quickly and the car came back nicely washed.
