Subaru of Dayton in my opinion has one of the best service departments for a dealership in the Dayton area. Dean, Service Manager- Steve, and the all the staff are patient, understanding, detailed and price is always comprehensive. I have a 2006 with over 231651 miles, and she not glitch free, This service department has taken good care of my car and all of my needs(fears) to make sure my vehicle keeps running. They are polite, respectful, considerate in manner. Over the years I have had from a simple oil change to some major work done, it as always been fast(as possible), explained, thorough. not a lot of paperwork. They know my car and I like that they inspect for unforeseen problems that come with a older car with a lot of mileage, and are quick to let me know, which is most appreciated, Because, I LOVE MY SUBARU! I would and have recommended them to my friends and family. Thank you all for your hard work, outstanding service and kindness be seeing you all soon. Out Standing Service

Was in for a 40 thousand mile service on my Subaru Outback. Everything was explained very well by Dean Erbes as well as estimated time to completion. He even arranged a shuttle for my wife and I for breakfast.

Great first service, courteous and thorough oil change tire.

Courteous. Oil change, tire rotation and inspection in about an hour. No Charge for my 2018 Crosstrek. Did not mind that I was about 20 minutes early took me right in.

Oil Change and more

Came in (first time this location/state) for a routine oil change. Was informed that oil was a quart low which is beyond Subaru standards for normal oil usage - no sign of leaks. Was placed on a monitoring program for Subaru to track. Oil change was compensated and manager thoroughly explained the situation. We'll see what happens in 3K miles.

Rip off

After 20 minutes and 5 phone calls finally talk to somebody had found out that the service did not comply with the Subaru 30000 mile service and they were charging way too much for it called other dealer $60 cheaper and provided a more and better service

Better then most dealers I’ve used. The purchase and now first service were very good. The repairs I want checked malfunctioned next day again . I hope second try is better. Employees were very pleasant

Easiest Experience - Great Price

After searching in the Cincinnati area for a used White Subaru Outback Limited, the internet lead me to Subaru of Dayton. It's only an hour away, so not a big deal. I inquired on the price on a Monday and bought it on Tuesday. Adam was able to beat the best price on a comparable vehicle with minimal back-and-forth...actually NO back-and-forth. We had a written offer and he beat it. My new Outback is in impeccable condition and drives like a dream. Ask for Adam...tell him Michelle sent you!

Will Not Send Tax Check

I live in Indiana and the Dayton dealership is the closest Subaru dealer to me. I am trying to buy the car but they will not complete their responsibility to complete the sale as of 5/30/18. I took possession of the car on 4-20-18. I paid a considerable sum down and burrowed the rest as they were offering 0% to qualified buyers. I was instructed that the dealer had to collect the Indiana sales tax which was tacked on to the amount I was burrowing on the car. When the paperwork was processed, I would receive a copy of the Ohio title and a check for the Indiana sales tax they had collected. I know this sounds really weird but that is what I was told they were required to do. When I received the copy of the Ohio title to take to the Indiana BMV, there was no check.That was over 2 weeks ago. I called them and was promised they would send me the check right away. I waited another week but no check arrived. I called them again and explained that I want that money to get my plates, They again said they would send a check via overnite mail but again no check has arrived. I don't know what is wrong with these people but there really is something bad wrong. Stay away from this dealer. I am taking the car back this weekend to try to find out why they have not sent the check. I am to the point I do not want the car anymore.

Good Experience

Went here for oil change and tire rotation.I purchased the new vehicle here in January 2015. I have had mostly good experiences with service here. The last time I went to have an oil change and tire rotation they did not rotate the tires. I caught it before I left the dealership. They rotated the tires and gave me a $25 gift card for the next time. This time they changed the oil and rotated the tires but they showed me that all four tires are wearing on the inside. They said the car needed an alignment and new tires. They gave me a print out of the cost for replacement tires and the alignment but did not put any pressure on me to have it done there. When I checked out from this appointment I was told that they would not charge me for the tire rotation since the tires were in such bad shape. Overall I am pleased with the service I have received there.

Very pet friendly. Danny( our pit mix) always gets biscuits and toys.The repairs are done right the first time. We have never had to come back for same problem. Service people know their stuff. All staff at Dayton Subaru are friendly and helpful. Love our Subaru!! Brad is Danny's best buddy at our Subaru dealer.

First service appointment on my new 2017 Subaru Outback

Easily scheduled my appointment using "MySubaru" app. I was checked in and in the waiting room in no time enjoying coffee and reading my Kindle. Less than an hour passed before I was given my freshly washed car back with an oil change, lube and filter change, plus a multi-point inspection and a tire rotation. Good to go! Nice, friendly service staff. They know what they're doing and I look forward to continuing the service relationship with them. And I love my Subaru!

I LOVE my 2016 Forester Subaru and have been very pleased with the service I've received at this facility. I appreciate their professionalism as well as friendliness and patience in answering my zillion questions. I am a Senior Citizen and have always been treated with the utmost courtesy. I really appreciate the free car washes, the service department and, in particular, the detail department. I fully intend to pay a return visit soon to have my car detailed.

Awful

Awful experience and a total rip off. I never been to this dealership before. I needed a new key fob. They charged me full price ---about $200. Eventually they decided they needed to reprogram the key and for this little job I had to pay over $60. Non existent customer service. No attempt to gain my business. I would have expected them to have reprogrammed the key which took a few minutes for free as a gesture of goodwill.

I would not recommend this dealer.

First Oil Change

Was very impressed with service for oil change. They took about 15min longer than expected and rotated the tires for free. Really appreciated that! Waiting area for service is clean and comfortable.

Customer Apathy

Almost every interaction with this dealership was disappointing. There were a 12 interactions where we just shook our heads and what?... I write books on the customer service and this is textbook case of how not to do it customer service. I'd go into more detail but I don't what to waste any more of my time. I don't know how they are still in business. We're moving to another dealership. Subaru Corporate saving the day for us on this one but this dealer is firmly on our black list.

Deceptive service department

This past Monday I took my vehicle for a 60k mile service and was informed by phone that the accessory/drive belt was worn and needed to be replaced. I questioned it, but I agreed to have the belt replaced because I have never been mislead here before. When I went to pick up the vehicle and I found that that left the old parts in a box in my car. I looked at the belt they removed and it was painfully obvious that it did not need to be replaced. I was furious! I walked back in and complained and showed the service representative and he apologized. I was offered gift cards for issue, but I refused them and demanded that they refund the money direct to my credit card. The service manager took care of the refund, but offered no apology for the deceptive service. This is not how you run a business and I do not like getting ripped off!! My wife and I have been loyal customers here since 2010. We bought both of our Subaru vehicles here and have had almost all of our servicing performed here. This is a poor way to treat good customers!! Unfortunately, my wife and I are finished giving Subaru of Dayton anymore business!

never again

I bought my first and only Subaru in 2013. It is now 2016 and I have 45,600 miles on it and the clutch has to be replaced for a cost of $1500+...... I am a 59 year old nurse who has always had a manual and never had this problem before. I am very disappointed and haven't received any help with my concerns.
