Fantastic Service Department

Today I was asked by my Sister to check her car for an engine noise. I checked her 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. It had a bird chirping sound while engine was running at idle. I called the service department and spoke with Walter Scott the service manager. He asked a few questions. I verified his questions and he suggested the car issue may be covered under a power train warranty. I asked if it could be verified today. I was told it could be looked at. My Sister arrived, was taken care of right away, She was give a loaner car. She was called a few hours later saying all issues were corrected, car was washed and she had it back by mid afternoon. This is fantastic service. Thank you.

Washing the car after oil change

I did 3 oil changes with them; the first time they did not wash the car because their "machine" was broken; the second time because it was too cold "-10"; the third time I insisted to wash it; they were not happy but did wash it; however, the wash was really bad (I did regret asking them to wash it). I'll never go back

signed a contract to find out 2 days after car is sold

went in on wednesday bought a 2018 gmc terrain to find out today that vehicule was already sold and nothing they can do about it but find us another car will less options and more expense please stay away from this place they lied to our face after being there for 6 hours

Above and Beyond

We purchased a 2017 Cadillac ATS in July 2017. In February 2018, while we were on vacation in the Dominican Republic, our daughter was involved in a collision. Thankfully, she wasn`t hurt. Unfortunately, the car sustained damage and we were not easy to reach. My daughter brought the car in to our sales representative, Lee Goudie, the day after the accident. Lee, reassured my daughter, and helped her to take the necessary steps with the insurance company and the onsite body shop to get the car repaired. It was a huge weight off our shoulders and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip with peace of mind. Lee has always provided us with great customer service, but this was a whole new level. Great job Lee!

STAY AWAY

Steer clear of this dealership at all costs. They falsely advertise prices on vehicles stating 'it was a mistake'. They also confirm a vehicle is on site to look at and after driving over 100km from out of town to look at it , its not even there, its at 'home' with one of their employees. When asked to see another model so the trip wasn't wasted, the sales person didn't even bring the keys out so you could look inside. Further attempts to make amends and contact the Manager to rectify the issue, he made all kinds of empty promises - and actually made a way worse offer than the sales person. Offering $2000+ LOWER than black book value on trade ins. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. They aren't rated a 2.4/5 stars on DealerRater for nothing!!!

Bought a used car. They sold me with air bag fault

Recently, I bought a Hyundai Sonata 2011. Due to my lack of knowledge with air bag light. They deliver a car with air bag light ON and hand brake light is not working. After month, I went to another garage for oil change and mechanic told me that your car has fault in air bag system. He explained me the meaning of that light. I called surgenor ottawa GMC and explained them my situation but they refused to anything. A bad dealership I ever had.

Surgenor Sold the Same Car Twice

This experience occurred Friday morning, December 23rd at approximately 10:15 AM, and I made a deposit of $2,000.00 on the vehicle at that time. I signed the agreement with Jason Sarac, Surgenor's Financial Services Manager, and Kyle Burton, Surgenor's New Car Sales Manager. I returned later, with my wife Pat Maloney, to Surgenor's at 2:20 PM that same day. We were seeking clarification on some details about the agreement (BMW warranty still in effect, CMVAP not applicable). I began asking Kyle my questions about the agreement, but he was vague in his answers. Significantly, about five minutes into the conversation Kyle said that he understood that I was cancelling the purchase agreement. I strongly rejected that assertion, and said I intended to purchase the vehicle as per the agreement. But I left the showroom feeling very confused and upset. I called Samantha Hall, the sales rep I had been dealing with, on the next business day, yesterday, Tuesday, December 27, and asked her what she thought was happening. She said she thought the car had been sold to someone else later on the same day that I signed the agreement. The agreement was signed with the only condition being that the vehicle be inspected by an independent BMW mechanic. This inspection was scheduled for today, Wednesday, December 28th at 8:30 AM. I decided to assume there was a misunderstanding and pursue the agreement. When I arrived to pick up the car, Kyle Burton, who had signed the purchase agreement on behalf of Surgenor's, told me I could not have the car, and that the agreement was cancelled. I emphatically did not agree to cancel the agreement. Indeed, I understand that I have no right to cancel such an agreement under Ontario law. I remain committed to purchasing this vehicle as per the agreement. But I left the showroom today feeling that I was being 'encouraged', to use a polite term, to abandon the agreement. I have no such intention, and will complete the agreement as signed. I wrote an email this past Monday to the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, Mason Nihmey, explaining the situation as I understand it. I have had no response to date.

Deceptive selling and lies, lies, lies

Tried to buy a 2016 Chevrolet Volt. Even with a $ 5000 trade and the $ 13,000 electric vehicle rebate they took a $ 2,000 deposit on visa to "hold" the car. Then they couldn't get the monthly payment they quoted me (IN WRITING). They tried to convince me to take the higher monthly payment they could get for weeks and after more than a dozen requests to cancel the deal and refund my deposit I finally went in to meet Samantha Hall my sales person in person to demand they cancel the deal. She pushed me off to Kyle Burton the sales manager. He flat out told me that even though they couldn't get me the financing they quoted because it had been week (of them refusing to respond to my requests) that they "were going to lose money on the car because the 2017 were now in" so he was going to keep my deposit and I could sue for it "if I thought it was worth my time". I did and am but want to warn others not to deal with this dealership. It will cost you time and money and they can't be trusted. Classic bait and switch play and I can't believe I fell for it. Lots of other dealers in Ottawa that deserve your business.

Horrible customer service

My car was working well when I brought it to the dealership for the usual maintenance. After getting the car back, it stalled on me while it was moving at 50 kph. Had to go back to the dealership several times in three weeks, pay $1500++ for several services, some of which did not help, to get the stalling issue fixed. The thing that really irked me was the complacency in giving updates on my car. At one point, nobody told me that my car was ready for pick-up and had been sitting in their garage for a week! I also called my service advisor several times but he was not picking up or returning my messages. Lastly, the guy who sold the car to me at this dealership seemed like he did not want anything to do with me when I was having these issues. I'm never going back to this place. I've had way more pleasant experiences with the dealership across the street!

Couldn't look at my car for service for 11 days

Just called the dealership for service. My power steering system seems to have a leak in it. I have to fill the power steering before every drive. The very friendly associate who takes my call tells me that they have no openings for 11 days. I bought the car at this dealership and they can't look at my car for 11 days. I couldn't believe it. Worse customer service I have ever experienced.

I would not recommend this dealer.

great experience with Cindy and Surgenor

Cindy and the others at Surgenor Chev were surprisingly good to deal with; absolutely NOT the pushing, greasy car sales people I had expected, (and experienced recently), Cindy is friendly, patient and certainly involved - she took the time to discuss my what i wanted, budgeting and time frame. Never did she push me into a sale, and the others at Surgenor were really professional after the sale, following up with the paper work, etc. I initially went to Surgenor for the service department and found the guys and girls there very good, so...their sales department, (particularly Cindy Bourgon) are great! Great Job guys, keep it up!

I would like to comment on how I was treated when I bought a 2011 GMC Terrain last December. The sales rep CINDY BOURGON was so amazing!!! She made it her first priority to help us. Every time we contacted her, she made us feel so important! I have been to many other GM Dealers and never in 20 years have I been treated with such kindness and importance. She was such a professional! Cindy was the BEST!!! I will never go to another dealer again, I trust Cindy to be able to find me my next vehicle... I am now her client for life! I was expecting the usual dealership fake smiles and pushy sales... not so here. Cindy and Mason were an excellent blend of intelligence, understanding, and humour. They anticipated my needs vs. budget stress and made it surprisingly fun and helpful. I now have a new truck that is just what I need. I definitely recommend this dealership/sales group and they now have a loyal customer in me.

went in to get my Check Engine light problem fixed. 1st repair $1700....check engine light back on within 400 kms....go back in & they get me for $391 repair......check engine light back on in 300 KMS.....they tell me to come back in for free scan......start naming a lot of exoensive options..... i say no thanks, so they tell me scan for free, but they will be charging me for a Smoke Test??? i never asked for a Smoke Test.....just my Free Scan as promised! anyways, found out the $391 repair was really just a scam.....aftermarket part available online--- service advisor says part is NOT available anywhere & they need to keep trying to fix the old used part? SCAM ALERT
