By Screwed on 10/12/2018 at 4:43 PM. Helped by shane calendar.

The gap insurance they sell isn't worth the paper it's printed on....suffered a total loss on a 3 year old car....$0 payout I'm left owing 4 grand Nissan of Richmond won't even refund my $399 for the "GAP coverage"

I would not recommend this dealer.

Shady

By Poochie57 on 9/16/2018 at 1:36 AM. Helped by Don't remember manager's name..

Buyer beware...vehicle listed on Internet for $15,495. Requested best cash price. Given a price in excess of $19,000. Included prep fees (approx. $1,980), processing fee (approx. $790),etc. I'm so angry with myself because I lost time and money making a special trip back to Richmond. I will never attempt to do business with this dealership again....period!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Buyer Beware

By marykmar29 on 9/11/2018 at 11:10 PM. Helped by E.J. (who is no longer with the company).

I purchased a car from this dealer on 8/10/18 and the deal was that my first payment would be November. I just got a bill saying first payment is due 9/24/18. I spoke with Bruce, one of the managers and of course he has a different story now that he is done with the sale. Trying to give me a bunch of double talk basically saying first payment is due 9/24/18. I will never purchase another car from this dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Cancelled extended warranty and prepaid maintenance costing $3500 more than 3 months ago. Still no check. Numerous calls and visits to dealership. No response. No returned calls or emails. Spoke to administrators, finance people, salespeople and even called Nissan of North America customer service. Dealership doesn’t even return their calls. Heading to court house to file suit. Steer clear of this dealership.

Terrible Experience!

By Hilary on 7/5/2018 at 4:11 PM.

I wish I could give this company a 0! Every part of the experience has been terrible. The sales manager was high pressure and lied to us repeatedly The process was painful and took 5 hours! I didn't get my license plates until after the temporary tags expired. Then the dealership took 2 months to sent the title to the DMV after the car was re-financed. There are so many details that I will spare in this review but just know it was a horrible experience! Stay far away from this dealership!

I would not recommend this dealer.

4th of July weekend sales....HA

By notstupidenoughforyou on 7/3/2018 at 1:27 AM. Helped by Paula.

These people will say anything to get you in the door. Paula promoted 4th of July weekend sales. There were absolutely NO sales being advertised or promoted or offered what so ever. We went there because my boyfriend was interested in a used 2017 Mustang ecoboost premium they had listed for $21,495. We drove up there the guy pulls the car around and the first thing we see is scratches on the hood, one tire was a different brand than the other three, the rims on the right side had gauges in them, the back tires were xxxx near bald, the drivers seat on the front near the bottom had scrapes all over it, there was rocksalt residue in the tire wells. They advertise a premium upgraded shaker sound system but it was missing he subwoofer, the seats were supposed to be ac/heat ventilated only the bottom worked on both front seats, there’s no blind spot monitoring when the premium package is supposed to come with it. While test driving the car I could hear the tires turning. It was like a wailing sound. Then we go to talk numbers and these cheap fools tried to offer my boyfriend $2500 for his trade in. $2500 for a 2011 Jetta that has touch screen, a sunroof, tectonic shifter option, a brand new entire ac system, 4month old brand new tires, it’s been serviced and taken care of and the mileage is on target for the year. That trade is worth $3200-$4600 blue book value to a dealer. Then they don’t come down on the price of this beat up Mustang that was a rental car that has $25,353 miles on it and it’s only a year old. Their processing fee is $300 higher then any other dealership I’ve been to. Most are $500. Theirs is $800. They charge a $795 docking fee. And the kicker! They charge $2,495 for cleaning and reconditioning to get the car ready for the purchaser! Are you freaking kidding me?! $2,500 to do your job and make the car lot ready for the buyer? AND THIS DOESNT INCLUDE FIXING THE BALD TIRES. That’s a freaking joke. This place is a bunch of swindling crooks who have no idea what they’re talking about. Read the other reviews! We should have before going up there. He had his own financing already approved and ready to go. They were difficult and absolutely RUDE. The salesman who was a young kid maybe 22 years old had no idea how to even unlock the car. He tried to tell me the rocksalt residue was dust from the lot theycwash the car in. Dust isn’t white. Then he says well we have definitely washed it shine it snowed. They’ve only had the car since April. They didn’t even have t when it snowed. Then the salesman I believe has name was Alan laughed loudly in my boyfriends face when he gave his offer... that is not a way to keep someone’s business! It’s RUDE! Their final offer was $28,000 it the door. He could buy a brand new mustang for that price! They said they had all kinds of promotions going on for 4th of July. No they had all kinds of bullcrap hidden fees. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else! This place is nothing but a bunch of crooks!

I would not recommend this dealer.

These ppl are crooks

By customer on 6/26/2018 at 2:18 AM.

a. I regret the day I bough a car from this dealership. These ppl are crooks. I was sold a Nissan Altima SL 2014 certified used car in 2015. Recently my car AC broke (this tells the quality of Nissan) and I went to a local Nissan dealer to discover that Nissan Richmond canceled the certification the same week they sold me the car. I first took it as a mistake and called the Nissan of Richmond to clear the confusion. I was told that only a finance manager can fix this problem. I called every day for two weeks and left a message with the receptionist for the finance to call back since they were busy robbing new customers. The finance manager has not returned my calls till now. These ppl do not care about you after they have taken your money but, in my case, they robbed me by cancelling my car certification. I clearly mentioned that my wife is pregnant and really need this resolved so that I can get the AC fixed but they did not care. The employees of this Dealership are not Human. Please avoid this dealership.

Worse dealership

By 123 on 6/21/2018 at 7:44 PM.

Purchased a new car from here and the detail guy cut the driver seat. I called straight for a month with no return call or response to have this fixed. So I gave a bad review on the survey. After the 30 days ran out they still have not sent the plates for the car because they never gave the information to the lady to be handled and was told the seat isn’t going be repaired because of a bad survey given. Very unprofessional dealership and wouldn’t recommend to my worse enemy.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Horrendous Place

By DealerReview on 6/10/2018 at 5:23 PM.

this dealership is pretty useless. Employees will waste your time. was at this dealership for 4 hours. They have outrageous fees...$1,295 recon fee, $749 processing fee, $449 Total loss protection fee(btw said this was required by Nissan...LOL...took a picture of the paper to send to Nissan and dealerboard), and $61 non tax fee....what the xxxx is a non tax fee? the employee didn't even know..anyways to go on...they agreed to a price...made us wait of course and comes back 45 mins later to tell us "we can't do that price"...LOL again..but let's go on...then a manager comes "oh yeah we can do that price". makes us wait another 45 mins to say "we can't do that price" LOL! oh btw during the wait time we realized our salesperson was helping someone else hahaha...epic experience. good job guys 🤣👍

Liars, Unethical, greedy, unprofessional

By Snoopylwl200 on 6/10/2018 at 4:12 PM. Helped by Two other guys that probably intentionally didn't give me a name..

Never experienced this horrible of service in my life. I drove 2 hours to look at the used 370z they had in the lot. I got a price guarantee certificate where they promises that the price I would be paying was 13,444 including dealer fees. Long story short they wasted 4 hours of my time at the dealership going back and forth between associates promising me this price or that price and refusing to give me the keys to my trade in so I could leave. Their 13,444 car turned into about 17,000 after all of their BS fees on top of the dealer fee they mentioned in the email. Think about it, the sales tax and registration should have been maybe 500 to 700. So they are trying to charge around 3000 on top of the price of the car. I drove two hour there and arrived around 3pm and didn't get of this hellhole until after 7pm. Then had to drive 2 hour back. Oh and the icing on the cake the trade in I brought is valued at 11k to 13k and because there was some slight damage to a fender they said the best they could do is 8k. I priced the repairs in front of them and it would have cost 500 to 600 to fix. So they are trying rip me off 3 to 6k on the trade in on top of all of their BS fees. This place is dishonest, and the employees are rude and try to make you feel like you're ignorant or stupid to make them seem like they are giving you a good deal. On top of all the absolute bull pricing the car they tried to sell me had a misaligned hood and front right bumper, horrible breaks that needed replacement asap, and the engine shield on the undercarriage was hanging off and not secured properly. So all of this extra money and costs and I would have walked away with a a project car, not even something that is ready as is... They left me in the sales office while they were crunching numbers and after an hour or so I had to go search down the manager and sales rep who helped me to find the sales rep assisting another client with a sale. I had to go into their employee only key room and tell the associate to give me my damm keys back so I can start my 2 hour drive home.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible experience

By Whitestalln on 5/20/2018 at 2:29 AM.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had with any dealership. (Short disclosure, Will the salesman was not bad. He was just doing his job.) My wife and I were looking to buy a used pathfinder. We found one at this dealership for what seemed close to our price range. So I called the day before to be told they won't discuss numbers over the phone, even though their website says they would. We live 3 hours from this dealership but we decided to go because we thought we were close to what they had listed online. When we got there though there was a $2500 processing fee that we were never told about. It was in the fine print that there was a processing fee, but we would've never expected $2500 extra on top of list price, dealership fees and taxes. We told them multiple times this is how much we want to pay and if that doesn't make sense to them that's fine but don't waste their time as well as ours. They decided to go back and forth between the manager's office and salesman desk 3 times and on the 4th time we told them to meet us at our car. Where they finally told us that they couldn't do it. Which if they told us that the first time, this review would not be here. Buy from somewhere else there are other Nissan dealerships. This one is terrible.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Crooks

By Sweet Tee on 4/27/2018 at 2:41 PM. Helped by Heather Orum.

4/26/18 I went to look at a used car. They have a pre owned section and a certified used section. The website shows the separated listings. They tried to sell me the car and add it as a certified pre-owned and told me they have to put all used cars as certified when they sell them. I am a female but I guess I looked stupid to them. We all know a used car listed as certified supposed to have had a more detailed inspection and carries a warranty with it not an as is warranty sticker. Then he told me I had to get the Gap coverage and even though at first I told them I was getting financed through my credit union, they tried to ignore that and force me to get financing thru them. Their sales supervisor or whoever sent me an email before I came in telling me the price was negotiable the sales person Jonathan told me it wasn't. They were so concerned about how much I could pay a month and he wouldn't show me the price he was going to sell it to me for until after back and forth for 15 minutes and that's when I saw this nonsense price and walked out. They didn't lower the car price but added $2549 in fees plus $400 in tax. Then had the nerve to chase after me in the parking lot and ask did I want to look at another car? WTH!!?? My advice if you go here put your phone recorder on and tape them undercover then send it to the local TV station.

Horrible Customer Service-- Run Away!

By BBooth on 4/27/2018 at 12:55 AM. Helped by Alice.

After a 6-hour long car buying visit (I literally test drove 1 car but it took that long to actually complete the agreement), the inefficiency continued with the paperwork 3 days later when my car actually arrived on the lot. I needed to get the plates from my trade in and THAT became an issue that took another 4 days to resolve. My temporary tags expire and I go in the next day, asking for my new plates, thinking someone perhaps just forgot to call. I'm told Alice, the person in charge of plates, is in a meeting (happening at the front desk) and I should wait for her. After listening to their "meeting" for 15 minutes, I go up to the front desk again to ask politely how much longer it might be and Alice looks at me and says, "I'll get them when I'm done." I have an appointment, so I leave and am called 30 minutes later to come pick them up. I ask to speak to Alice to discuss the customer service (why did my plates expire with no call, especially since they were in the store; that dismissive and rude comment) and she doesn't call me back. I go in the next day to get the plates and ask to speak to a manager. I'm told to wait and 30 minutes later the front desk clerk comes over to say "I'm sorry, I forgot: he's not here today." I was FLOORED and yet, sadly, not actually surprised. "I'd like to speak to whomever's in charge." "Sure, sure." I continue to wait for 15 more minutes before being told he's incredibly busy because he's the only one on the floor who can make decisions and she's just not sure when he might be available....I watch her write down a message to call me on Monday, when the GM returns. It's been a week later-- no call. I have a 3-year service contract with this place and I'm dreading have to go back to this location. I so completely regret my decision and would highly encourage anyone reading this to go to another Nissan dealership. This place is far too busy for its own good; customer service has fallen by the wayside and Nissan should be embarrassed that this dealership carries their name.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Don't buy a car from this dishonest dealer

By janie99 on 4/22/2018 at 6:55 PM.

Stay away from this dealer!! They will add charges and fees that they can't even explain what they are for. They will try to add a $2500 certification fee for a car that isn't even certified. They refused to sell a car for their advertised price plus tax, tags, title and dealer processing fee. A real scam!!

Wonderful experience

By Lyn on 4/20/2018 at 6:18 PM. Helped by Scott Shortt.

Buying a car can be nerve racking, but when you show up and meet the right sales rep it can mean everything! I had such a wonderful experience working with Charles Bull, he knew what I was looking for and was able to find me the new vehicle I wanted with all of the amenities to meet my needs! Charles is very knowledgeable and his customer service was exceptional! With my new vehicle I got the protection plan for my interior and exterior (with little ones it’s a must), for this part of the process I was introduced to Scott Shortt, he was able to give me specific details on what was included in the package and how it worked. Not to long from now I will be searching for another vehicle for my oldest, I will not think twice about where I’m going, I look forward to doing business in the future with Nissan of Richmond and I hope to work with Charles and Scott again! 1 more shout out- everyone I saw always had a smile on their face and were very courteous to stop by and say hello!

I would recommend this dealer.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

By lori2250 on 4/16/2018 at 8:26 PM. Helped by not sure of salesman name we were passed off from one to another. First guy was Joe maybe.

Called to check on availability of a vehicle, it was gone but they said they had others and they were willing to negotiate. When we got there the first thing they said was we don't negotiate and there are hidden fees outside of tags, tax, and title totaling $2000. The next day when I called and emailed to speak to a supervisor they told me they would have one call me. STILL WAITING!!!! Guess they don't need the business very bad.

Nissan of Richmond

By Dave on 3/8/2018 at 1:09 AM. Helped by Scott.

On the 8th of February I bought 2 new vans. When they showed up they were not the vans i asked for. Both the vans had rear glass in them and i asked for vans without back glass. Adam the sales manages said if i would take the vans he would install cages around the back glass and they put it into the we owe part of the contract. I was also told i would receive new ladder racks the same kind i had on the older vans that were turned in. This is also in the we owe. This was all purchased on the 8th of February it is now the 7th of march and i still do not have the items that were promised. Also, when the new van was picked up there was a large scratch on the back of the van. I reported to Garrett my sales agent. I also reported to the sales manager before i took possession of the van. I was told not to worry about the scratch they would have their scratch and dent people fix it. Today I spoke with Scott about getting the scratch taken care of and he said they were not going to fix it and unless Adam put it in writing i was stuck with the damage. To top it all off the sales agent Garrett told me that the detail people in their shop took my EZ pass out of the vehicle. When i checked with EZ pass they said it’s been being used. By far this is the worst sales experience I have had in my life.

I would not recommend this dealer.
