WORST EXPERIENCE EVER -go to Priority Nissan of Richmond

By Dani on 7/13/2019 at 7:37 PM. Helped by Daniel (sales representative) and Darren (sales manager).

This was by far the most DISAPPOINTING and WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I called about a Nissan Rogue Sport S that was advertised online on THREE different sites at $13,495 and was excited to finally find a vehicle that met my expectations and budget. I called and made sure it was available and was confirmed the price over the phone. This dealership is 3 hours away from my home and I expressed this to them over the phone so I wanted to make sure it was available and listed for that price.I am a grad student and do not have a lot of time on my hands but was willing to make an exception for this deal. When I walked in the Sales person they assigned me to Daniel was friendly but not very helpful. He stated he "doesn't sell used cars" and "doesn't know much about the rogue". As I came to look at this specific used Rogue, that was slightly frustrating to me off the bat. Regardless, I test drove the vehicle and was happy with it as I had done my research on the vehicle before I had decided this was the vehicle I wanted. When I sat down to talk numbers with Daniel I was handed a paper that showed a ridiculous "reconditioning fee" that they title "prep package" for $2,495 and a "cpo fee" of $1,495 so with this ridiculous $4,000 fee they did not disclose to me prior to me driving 3 hours this vehicle was out of my budget at well over $19,000. I was justifiably pissed. I drove 3 hours for some underhanded unethical practices. After asking for the manager Darren and waiting almost 15/20 minutes for him to come out, he was condescending, rude, and is a sorry excuse for a manager. Stating "if you want to negotiate on a car we can discuss a new car but we don't negotiate on used cars" I stated angrily that no I'm not trying to negotiate the price, I simply want to be able to purchase at the price online that I drove 3 hours for as it was advertised. Darren was arrogant and said that "well we can do that because there's a disclaimer on our website" after raising my voice and using a few choice words I was told "lets go outside and talk" and was held the door open for and told to "have a nice day". I can only wonder how many people fall prey to their unethical ways and get screwed over like they tried to do to me. I can't believe this place is in business with the way they treat their customers and their underhanded business practices. DO NOT EVER COME HERE. Don't waste even a minute of your time and don't believe a thing that they say. I firmly believe the positive reviews on here are false or paid for. Here is their "promise" on their website: We will respect your time. - NOPE didn't do that - wasted 8 hours of my day We will market our products and services honestly. - 100% FALSE - ALL LIES We will employ a professional, well-trained and knowledgeable staff. - Trained to SCAM? We will maintain a clean, comfortable and modern facility. - disorganized Will will offer only products and services that meet your needs. - FALSE We will provide clear explanations of all pricing and paperwork. - YEAH RIGHT We will deliver your vehicle clean with a full explanation of features. - salesperson didn't know anything about the vehicle. We will treat you as a guest in our home. - HA. Is that how you treat people in your home? I feel terribly sorry for them. On another note I stopped by Priority Nissan of Richmond on my way home just to see what they had and was helped by a lovely lady named Tina who was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and worked with me to find something in my budget that met my expectations in a vehicle. I came home with a used Santa fe sport and am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend saving yourself the headache, frustration, and money, and go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else.

False Advertisement on Used Vehicles

By Joe on 7/12/2019 at 8:32 PM. Helped by Darren The Manager.

My daughter just drove 3 hours because they advertised a great price on a Nissan Rogue she was interested in purchasing, only to find out when she arrived there was $4000 dealer markup that wasn't listed on the advertisement. She called ahead of time to verify the price and they stated that the only additional costs were taxes and tags. Talked to Manager Darren and he basically stated that there was a disclosure on their web site in tiny print that covers their price adjustments. In other words they falsely advertise and hide behind a legal term on their web page. These people are snake oil salesman, don't trust anything they say over the phone and don't trust their pricing or advertisements, this dealership and their leadership and management team are scammers, and my only hope is that you read this review and avoid the same mistake my daughter made. This dealership has no integrity avoid the hassle and stay away. Joe

Crooks

By Smit5454 on 6/19/2019 at 1:52 AM. Helped by Russell - Sales Manager.

Do not buy a vehicle from these Crooks at Richmond Nissan on West Broad Street. Spent three hours trying to get someone to call me back or answer my call. Was hung up on at least eight or nine times. I finally connected via Facebook Messenger. Was told they would work with me to get $500 off of the vehicle. Arrived, confirmed they would work on on the $500. Sat down with another managed who was the main manager. Very condescending and said they would not discount the vehicle. When we challenged it he cut us off multiple times. We decided to continue anyway. Spent 3 hours test-driving doing Financial forms, Etc. Was then presented with a finance sheet where they said we were mandated to pay almost $500 in total loss protection insurance coverage and it's a mandatory fee. Then they asked what our finance rate was that we had gotten privately to see if they can match it. They walked out, gave us a rate two and a half percent higher and said that the only way we could get the vehicle as if we paid and finance to Nissan at the much higher rate. At that point we said no way. My wife asked for an explanation and their exact response was, "this is a privately owned company you're not allowed to be here please get off our property." Worst experience I've ever had with any purchase. Next steps filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau, Nissan, and the State Attorney General's office for fraud as well as their threatening language as he told my wife to leave the premises and she was now not allowed to be there anymore.

Cancellation of Service Contract

By Gabby on 6/11/2019 at 1:39 PM. Helped by Meagan Carmody.

Nissan of Richmond has a diamond in the ruff in Meagan Carmody. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and courteous. I visited Nissan of Richmond twice for this issue before meeting with Meagan. She thoroughly explained the cancellation process and vowed to keep me updated on the progress. She was true to her word and completed my gap insurance and service contract cancellation request for my 2016 Maxima that I paid of early. I am truly appreciative of the customer service she provided. I never felt that I was unaware of the status of my claim under Meagan. she continuously kept me updated. I have received my refund check thanks to the dedication and responsiveness of this awesome Nissan of Richmond representative. Meagan aim high and thanks for all you do! Gabe Watts

Worst Car Experience ever!!!

By Mrs. Lande on 5/15/2019 at 6:13 PM. Helped by Logan, Fran.

I am shocked that I'm not the only one that experienced such horrible service. I was pre-approved by my bank, but these fools wanted to finance me any at a so-called better rate. Boy I wish I read these reviews first! They have an over priced reconditioning fee that I see that some of you all have already mentioned and they had a nerved to charge me an outrageous interest rate. I told them I would take it to my bank for review. This rude finance lady named Fran claimed that I needed pay stubs like I'm at some high risk dealership. I gladly came back with my check from my bank with a much lower interest rate, and less fees. That lady has an attitude problem and needs some training in customer service, but I am not too be played with, as she quickly noticed. My advise to anyone.. If your bank pre-approves you go, with them and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!!!

The opposite of transparency....

By v449498 on 5/2/2019 at 5:00 PM.

Dealer processing fees are not published on website and they will not divulge them over the phone or in email. Would only provide them if i scheduled and appointment and came in to meet with a sales person. Witholding the true cost of the vehicle does not bode well.

AVOID this dealership!

By MamaBear on 3/11/2019 at 4:04 AM. Helped by Andrew Coffman.

I regret not searching for reviews before sending my mother here. They had a vehicle listed on AutoTrader for $12,495, and it had the features she wanted. My husband test-drove the vehicle and checked it out before sending my mom to see it. She told her salesman Andrew immediately that her bottom-line price was $14,000 before she drove it and he did not indicate that this was a problem. Upon returning from the test-drive and deciding that she was interested, he came back with a price of $16,900. What in the world--$4,400 over the sticker??? She was shell-shocked and reiterated that she could not go over $14k. He eventually came back with $15,500 bottom line, take it or leave it, at which point she walked away. Andrew, you should be ashamed of yourself. How DARE you people prey on the elderly like that?? Not only that, my husband put down a refundable deposit to hold the car for Mom. Andrew told Mom that they would return it to our credit card, but the next day he told my husband that the finance department would call to get our credit card #. Here we are, 4 days later, and the charge is still on the card and no one has called. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEN OF THIEVES!

I inquired about a 2017 Infiniti q70 2017 that was advertising at 23750 on CarGurus and the dealers website and was quoted about the Door price of $28340 I have my own financing and can bring cash and they refused to give me a bill of sale to take to my credit union but 4600 over asking price is making me feel they are not reputable at 20% over asking price after all the padding..I buy cars all the time and have Never seen this 20% over asking price when you bring your own Money

Worst experience in years

By me on 1/18/2019 at 1:21 PM.

Drove to Richmond because they had the exact car I wanted. Was treated with a strong arm sales approach that I thought died many years ago. It went so far as the floor manager would not give my keys back to the car I drove there until I agreed to his sales demands or in my case made a scene in the showroom. Then I never received my license plates. Called and called for a month and a half and nothing seems to get done at this dealership. Still waiting on my plates almost 2 months later. Not even a single piece of paperwork has been processed yet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Poor customer service

By Displeased on 1/13/2019 at 12:08 AM. Helped by He alleged to be a manager.

I was in the dealership on today. I was informed of a $2495 reconditioning fee. I said upfront the fee did not fit my budget and let them know I was leaving. I told them upfront my bottom line out the door price and I would not pay a penny more. I was told let's see what we can do. They started showing me other cars. I said no I am only interested in that one car. They tried to sell me a new car I said no. They told me someone not at the dealership had the key. In the interim they claimed they were also checking on the pricing to fit my bottom line budget. I reminded them again I will not exceed my out the door budget. They had me waiting almost three hours before the person got there with the key. We did the test drive. After this long wait I was ready to buy as I had my own check in had from my credit union, mind you I have a low interest rate. I came to buy and not play games. They said lowest they could go was 1500 over my budget. After this long wait, really. I said I told you this up front my out the door budget. I was truthful and upfront from the beginning. The worst thing was the nasty attitude. Mind you I was nastly told I was not a customer so I could not do a review. Just did! Never again!

Untrustworthy

By Unhappy on 1/5/2019 at 8:03 PM.

Still waiting for a call from the GM and finance manager regarding the way we were treated during a new car purchased. Too long of a story to discuss here but anyone who buys a vehicle from this place needs to have their head examined. Unprofessional people who have no idea what customer service or integrity is if it hit them in the face.

Wrong Car Picture Online

By kjw5029 on 12/12/2018 at 6:56 PM. Helped by I cannot recall the two employee's names "helping" me..

After driving 1.5 hours to see a car that they had listed online, the car was incorrect. I literally called the day before to make sure the car I was seeing was the Platinum Trim, and after being assured, it was an SL trim. They also told me there were no hidden fees on the online price. Turns out there is $2400 hidden fees in CPO vehicles not shown in the online price. The salesman started getting argumentative with me about not wanting the SL, and basically told me to pay $2700 to install cooled seats. Worst experience at a dealership I've ever had.

Terrible All Around

By Car123 on 12/7/2018 at 7:58 PM. Helped by 5 different people were involved.

There was nothing but lies the entire time from multiple people. they did not discuss the lies with one another either, they could not keep all the lies straight. It was such a terrible experience, that I will never set foot in there again. The amount of games that were played and time wasted was insane. It was a deceitful, deceptive process of even trying to buy a car from them.

Was lied to over and over again.

By Unhappy guyu on 11/27/2018 at 1:47 AM. Helped by Anthony.

I was promised a rebate by salesman, and I had a certificate that I received in the mail that stated they would pay up to 1500 to pay off my current lease. The 1500 was added in the amount financed and I received NO rebate. The salesman didn't want us to even look at a 2018 because he said we wouldn't get a rebate. When the finance guy takes you back, the papers are thrown at you in a hurry and nothing is explained. If you ask a question, he lies, making you believe everything is ok. I have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs and am supposed to hear back from them tomorrow. If they can't rectify the situation, I will be contacting the Attorney General and my local TV station. If it were just me, I'd think I had just been stupid. However, the story is the same for many people.

My exp. With Nissan of Richmond

By Seanedrac on 10/30/2018 at 1:09 PM. Helped by Tammy.

I gave them 4 stars only cause i couldnt get car i wanted. But the service has been excellent. My 2017 sentra s has had only 2 problems within 1 yr and 4 months. 1: all sensors went out but was fixed free. 2: a heat shield broke. Other than that i bought car with 15 miles on it and got 75,000 on it now, and its still running like new. Tammy was a great sells person.and the service shop mechanics are great. Just wish i could have gotten the sentra nismo instead.

Disgusted by there sales team.

By ITguy on 10/28/2018 at 12:16 PM.

Had to wait for 4 hours before closing on a car. By the time we finally got to the bargaining table the sales manager john jacked up the price with hidden fees and gave us a horrible deal on my trade in. At that point All I wanted to do was leave and the sales guy had promised us free services which after signing the paper work it turns out they dont do. Overly aggressive sales tactics I definatly got taken on this vehicle.
