Dismissed me after they had my money

By MMHeide on 5/29/2018 at 1:22 AM.

They were totally nice until they had my money in their hands. Then, they dropped the ball completely. The tire pressure gauge was on and they took it to the garage "to have it looked at" -- it was still on when I left (they did nothing). I went to a tire store immediately and they topped up the air in the tires and the light went out - fixed. I left my LoJack paperwork at the dealership, which would have been easy enough to drop in the mail to me, but they won't do it -- they keep saying I need to come back out there and talk to the finance guy. I've called, written emails, and have gotten no response whatsoever except "Come out here." I work all the time out of town and don't have time to run by to get paperwork that they could put in the mail. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the way I have been treated since they unloaded this car on me (I do like the car, though). I'll be looking for a car for my teen in the near future and will NOT be going back there. They need to figure out it's not OK to treat a customer dismissively like that. It was a lot of money for me to drop in one place and I regret giving a penny of it to this dealership.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Disappointed Custoner

By Done with this dealership on 4/6/2018 at 2:40 AM. Helped by Scott.

The whole experience was horrible. I walked in with the stock number to the car I wanted. Was told it was not in stock only to be then told it was. Once the car was located, the keys could not be found. The salesman was disorganized and uninformed. He could not answer any of my questions. It was a very frustrating experience. I will never buy from them again.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Amazingness🙌

By Shannasess on 2/25/2018 at 4:17 AM. Helped by Dina.

1 review in the last week Well what can I say about this company..... Best experience from beginning to end! Dina first off is an angel in all respects. She was like an old friend I was just catching up with and she is the only reason for me going to this dealership. I felt from the moment I spoke with her that she was in it to help me not about money. I will always be appreciative and ever so greatful for all she did to change my life for the greater good! No words can express my feelings about my new friend. I have never in my life been treated like a friend or family by a dealership. Not once did I feel like they were all about the money. From beginning to end I was greeted by smiling faces and everyone seemed to love being there. No sale or amount of money can make that happen or even make it show to strangers walking in the doors its something that just shows in people. To all the folks who helped make a miracle and sheer blessing come to life for me and my 7 yr old daughter THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!! I would recommend coming to this dealership over any in the state of georgia. They aren't fake and aren't crooks they are real and it shows. You won't go wrong!

I would recommend this dealer.

FORGET IT! 1 Star is 1 Too Many!

By Parker Ray on 10/16/2017 at 4:12 PM. Helped by Earl, Brittany.

I requested information on a car advertised online 3 times before someone followed up. They so graciously 'penciled me in,' for a test drive however the person that I made an appointment with didn't even show. When I arrived to drive the car, it was filthy and not even washed in preparation for the test drive. After driving the car, the games began when the first sales quote that I was presented was full of added fees that the sales person could not explain what the fees were or why they were being added. He simply said, 'well...it just simply is what it is.' In addition to the fees, the trade in value of my car they provided wasn't even close to the Kelly Blue Book value range and the sales manager was would not even consider negotiating anything and could not be bothered to meet with me to discuss a deal. I was told 'it just simply isn't going to happen,' and they sent me on my way. Later that evening I received a follow up call from Kia where I shared my experience and I was told that someone from the dealership would reach out to me...which never happened. A day later I received a second request for feedback on the dealership in which I shared my experience and was told the GM would reach out to me...that too never happened. Seven days after my initial visit I reached out to my salesperson and asked if the car was still available and if there was any chance of negotiating a deal. He said yes they were ready and he came back to me with a price that was about $1,300 less than the original quote via the reduction/removal of those fees (mentioned above) that could not be explained to me earlier. Although the price had been reduced, I requested the sales person simply ask his sales manager if they would consider tinting the front two windows and/or replacing the tires (as they needed to be replaced.) The sales person said he would ask and follow back up with me and guess what...I never heard from him. The following day I called the dealership and was informed that my sales person literally quit that day. I requested to speak with a sales manager as I would like to follow up and make a deal. I was connected with Dennis and I have to say that I have NEVER been spoken to so rudely in all of my 39 years of life. Actual words from Dennis: "Quite frankly I hope you do not accept the deal we gave you...I would make more money if you didn't." "You either need to take this deal or find yourself another vehicle at another dealer." I have never met anyone in sales and service who treats their potential customers with as much disrespect and/or disregard as this dealership. Although it is a wonderful vehicle option for me, my search for a new car is ongoing as I cannot in good conscious give this dealership my business. WARNING: If you want to feel great about your car purchasing experience, this is not the dealership for you. However, if you enjoy being scolded and the thrill of playing the game...this just might be the perfect dealership for you. Just ask for Dennis…

I would not recommend this dealer.

bad review removed

By nanakat on 10/11/2017 at 5:54 PM.

I left a review on this site a few weeks ago about rude and disrespectful behavior of one of the sales managers. It has since been removed. I wish I could go back and buy my Kia Sorento again....It would definitely not be from this store. My sales guy was great as well as the credit manager. But the sales manager I had to deal with over new all weather mats I ordered for my Kia was horrible. Cory you should be ashamed of speaking with any customer the way you spoke to me!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Was a good experience. Got the oil change done, and they were able to fix my 2 key phob batteries. I was happy to get in and get out even without an appointment. Only issue was I could not connect to the wireless internet. Seems to have been down. But that is minor.

Horrible customer service

By Scott on 8/24/2017 at 6:18 PM. Helped by Anthony Pryor, operator for dealership and service.

I have owned a Kia Sportage 2013 for a little over a year and had to visit this dealership two times and called another. They never return calls in the service department. My first two visits were horrible and had a horrible service agent that never called me with updates or to even tell me it was ready to pick up. I contacted both the manager and service manager and received apology after apology. This morning I called to ask about a problem with back up camera and radio and was hung up on after being on hold for 20 minutes. I called again and left a message for an service advisor to call me back. I waited four hours and no one ever returned my call so I called the store to get the general managers voicemail and was told I could only email him so talked to the service manager who once again just offered up their phony apologies. I would say never use this Kia dealership they place no value on customer service or making the customers visit enjoyable. They act as if the customer is annoying to deal with.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Everytime I call I never can talk to anyone in Service.

By LCarter on 7/27/2017 at 6:53 PM.

This rating is about not being able to talk to someone in Service by phone. When I call I'm told just a minute, and the female that answers the phone never comes back to the phone. I'm giving up on KIA Thornton Rd. Matt Metts is great, but I cannot reach anyone by phone. The Thornton Rd location is close to my home, but I will have to go farther for better phone assistance at another dealership.

I would not recommend this dealer.

No key with Wheel Locks and even worse customer service!

By Will Kimmel on 8/8/2017 at 3:04 PM.

Bought a new vehicle from here a little over a year ago. When I went to get my tires rotated a few weeks ago, the shop couldn't find the wheel lock key anywhere in the vehicle. Needless to say, I called the dealership to ask about the key. They said that was a parts' question and that I would have to call and purchase a "new" key (which I never received in the first place). I decided to drive to the dealership to get the key in person and have the service team rotate the tires for me afterwards. After getting there however, I was informed that they don't sell "replacement" keys and that I would have to spend $60 on an entirely new set. Although they have a universal key to get the old locks off, I would have to purchase a new set and wait until they were shipped to have the service done. Unbelievable. Needless to say, I did not and will not be purchasing a new set of locks from this dealership, as this is their issue. I will be taking my business to another dealership! Fortunately for Kia, they use specific locks on their vehicles that inhibit tire shops to take them off without a specific key or else I would skip out on dealing with a Kia dealership altogether.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Dissatisfied service

By Teacherlady on 7/22/2017 at 1:59 PM.

Came in today due code p0106 MAP sensor. After Dia, we were told that this may have been triggered by dirty air filter (that was filthy) or the sensor needs to be cleaned. Also to add, it was told that the cerpatine belt and spark plugs need changing. Keep in mind the vehicle was just in for oil change and a check off list a "week prior".

Excellent Employee and Client Relations

By bond17 on 6/20/2017 at 5:06 PM. Helped by MATT METTS.

My car experience at this dealership was outstanding. From my initial phone call in making my appointment to my arrival. My service advisor Mr. MATT METTS was very friendly and concerned with what I needed to have done on my vehicle. It was like his car was in for repairs and made sure that everything was going well. He took personal pride to ensure that I was fully satisfied with what was happening with my vehicle. On future visits Mr. METTS will be my service advisor.

I would recommend this dealer.

BAITED AND SWITCHED SENIORS, LIED AND FORGED MY SIGNATURE!

By screwed over senior on 6/9/2017 at 5:08 AM. Helped by Cleveland McComb.

My wife and I received NUMEROUS phone calls, flyers and letters from KIA saying that as previous Kia owners we were VALUED customers and that we should come in and trade UP from our 2012 Sorento LX (which had all the bells and whistles for its year and make and generally was a great car!) for no money down and possibly the same or lower monthly payment! We spent 6 hours on Thornton Rd. We went for a test drive in a 2017 Sorento - again with all the bells and whistles - only to be told when it came time to sign that we couldn't have that car because it had been 'previously financed (the BAIT). But our salesman Cleveland McComb insisted "Just trust me! Just work with me! WE WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE HERE HAPPY!!!" Well, we left there exhausted and as we found out over the next couple of days, we left with a LOT LESS CAR (the SWITCH). Sure it is new and has a new warranty, but it has NONE of the AMENITIES our old Sorento had. So actually we had traded down not up!We both heard the salesman and the money guy Carl say that there was a grace period and if we weren't happy to return the car. So, two days later we did - and of course THEN nobody knows 'nothin' about no grace period' - and we are stuck with a car that WE DON'T WANT. So we call KIA AMERICA to complain. They say they have NO CONTROL over the dealerships! Since then KIA America and the Thornton Rd. dealership have called, mailed and emailed numerous customer service surveys and we have told them again and again that we are NOT happy customers. Today they mailed us a Pre-delivery Inspection Worksheet which indicates that the salesman went over the car with us and showed us all the features. It is an outright lie. NONE OF THESE THINGS HAPPENED. It says that he showed us the seat warmers WHICH THE CAR DOESN'T HAVE!!! We never saw the car they sold us until we drove it off the lot -A PIG IN A POKE!!! And to top it off they forged my signature at the bottom of the page. Never ever buy anything from KIA in general and Thornton Rd. KIA in particular.

Worst experience

By Disappointed 2 on 4/11/2017 at 6:44 PM.

It's hard to explain how incompetent this car dealer is. Even wanted me to lie for credit. They had everything mixed up on paperwork. And to top it off my wife hit a rabbit that knocked out a few plastic revits in the front end of the car and they were going to charge us for 50 cents of plastic. We went to Lagrange Kia and they were glad to install them at no charge. J.M.

The worst car shopping experience

By Mike on 7/2/2016 at 10:40 PM.

The worst car buying experience I have ever had! Salesmen that I dealt with include the names of Norris, Rasheed, and others. They have no integrity or respect for buyers. They play games with the price. First, the price they list online, in their car inventory is not real, the minute you walk in the price already increased by a few thousand. Second , even after you agree to a price, they would look at any little technicality to increase the price. I was already on my way to the dealership to buy the car at the agreed price; I asked them to make sure that the (hand operated) cover for the sunroof need it to be working; it was stuck when I first saw the car and I emphasized the need to fix this small problem; "not a big deal, our people would take care of that", is what they said. Already on my way there with my check (no financing , no trade in), I received a call from Mr. Norris advising me that they have to send it to the VW dealer, they could not fix it, they could not hold the price already agreed, and that it would cost a couple of thousand dollars more. You need to assume that they have good mechanics, to resolve the issue would probably take them 15 minutes. You can not trust these people, unfortunately you can not trust this dealership, I am not sure why the management tolerates this type of scheme and indecent sales tactics. Another one , before agreeing to the price, they presented me the total cost for the car: base price , taxes , fees, etc. however I noticed that they had included $ 799 docs fee, and $ 799 dealers prep fee. Reading their pricing policies (written in their own web site , I found the following: "Pricing includes dealership $799 doc fee."; I asked them to remove the doc fee and initially they did agree. After this is when they called me to advise that fixing the lid was going to cost a few thousands more. I guess they were burning too much grey matter trying to figure it out a way to recover the $799 doc fees. Avoid headaches, this is not the place to buy anything, unfortunately their people lack of professionalism, they will take advantage of you , if they can.

I would not recommend this dealer.
