Magnificent Dealer that provide excellent customer service

By SFC G on 6/21/2017 at 9:09 PM. Helped by Mark McCorkle.

I'm shopping for new car in Washington State and I've visited 3 other dealership in Tacoma area but they wouldn't work with me on my price and in top of it they keep adding more. But the Olympia Toyota dealership, not only that they give me a best price online but they even add an additional discount on my purchase to include extended warranty. from the time I park my car I was greed with a smile and made me feel welcome and appreciate. the dealer never push me to buy, and worked with my budgets that suit my need. including the sale general manager has help me to lower the price to were I would feel comfortable. This dealership had made me feel so welcome that I decided to buy a car and even in the financing dept. He help me find the lowest APR and the longest that will suite my budgets. Thank you Toyota of Olympia for making my car buying experience a dream. I will recommend you not only to my Soldiers but to anyone that need an excellent car buying experience. Now that's a NO HASSLE GUARRANTY service.

Excellent Service Staff

By Jerome on 4/5/2017 at 11:39 PM. Helped by Perry Phillips, Fred Chase, Calvin Singleton, Craig Littlejohn.

My experience with the Toyota of Olympia Service Team has been excellent lately. Yesterday my rear sliding glass window shattered on I-5 spontaneously (most likely a manufacturer defect, but who can tell). It was very puzzling, and I guess it is an uncommon occurrence, but it happened right as I was going down the Interstate and took me by surprise. I took it to Toyota of Olympia and they managed to get it jobbed in, get me a rental, and get me back on the road within 24-hours (all this without an appointment, either). Best of all, they didn't charge me for the repair nor the rental, and this little episode could have set me back $500 easily. So thanks to the service team who took care of me in my time of need! You guys are great Americans and I truly appreciate the five-star quality service you offered me!

Rodney made Toyota of Olympia great again!

By trinidad_tony on 3/20/2017 at 1:31 AM. Helped by Rodney Trinidad.

I was looking for a good used Prius with low mileage for my teenage daughter and Rodney found it for me. His customer service and car knowledge was great! He provided me with the facts I needed without the pressure of buying. If you're ever looking for a friend in the car business he's your guy.

Save your Sid the frustration!

By Justto32 on 3/4/2017 at 12:16 AM. Helped by Mark, Bobby.

Originally I came to the dealership looking for a used truck, test done a few but nothing they had was what I wanted. Finally they got a jeep in stock that was exactly what I was looking for so I drive the 40 mins back, well more like an hour and a half due to traffic. Get there and test drive it, fell in love. We start the paperwork and everything seemed fine... Until I signed for the Jeep. The moment I turned it on the touch screen (a selling point for then and built into the extra cost of the Jeep) magically want working! Now it has worked perfectly fine an hour before mind you. Next was a small leak from the roof followed by the gas not being filled as I had been told it would be, the tires not being inflated as promised, the list goes on. Next day I didn't just of my day on the phone trying to get a hold of the salesman, to no avail. Left a message stating I would be unavailable to answer calls from a curtain time to another time, about 15 minutes due to work. Can you guess what time he calls? On the dot of when I wouldn't be able to answer. Now I have to leave work and drive all the way back up there only for then to waste my time and tell me it isn't their fault, I even asked the guy if he was basically telling me to go xxxx myself to which he replied well ya kinda... I can't begin to explain my frustration am I can hope is that someone sees this and makes the smart decision to not buy from this place!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Disrespectful and careless sales practices

By JRH on 9/9/2016 at 9:12 PM. Helped by Joy Silva.

I corresponded with sales personnel on several occasions for a number days about a certain used vehicle that I was interested in. Because I live more than 125 miles away, I wanted to make sure the vehicle was the correct one for me before purchasing. When I was satisfied, I set up a meeting with my sales rep. Minutes before that meeting and only a few miles from the dealership, I was informed the auto was released as a demo for a few days. There was no attempt to hold the car for a brief time for my test drive, as I assumed I was promised; no attempt to notify me timely of the change, but rather I was offered a switch to a similar model two years older; and, only modest apologies offering to help reimburse me for 250 miles that I need not have driven. These sales practices speak volumes about this dealership's organization and customer service. I would be wary of dealing with them and would not recommend others do so.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Brent is a great Man to buy from

By TundrawithWinch on 2/15/2016 at 9:06 PM. Helped by Brent.

My wife and I really enjoyed buying our second Sienna from Brent. It was the 5th Toyota we have bought and he did it better than the previous four salesmen by far! He really knows his facts and helped us with every detail including questions we hadn't thought to ask. Brent is looking for repeat business not a short term quick sale. We'll buy from Brent next time for sure.

I would recommend this dealer.

Worst experience in car buying ever

By irateaboutthewait on 1/31/2016 at 3:08 AM. Helped by Dewayne Trotter, Erika.

In the beginning of January 2016 I bought a used Kia Soul from the Toyota of Olympia dealer and had the unfortunant pleasure of having Dewayne Trotter as my salesperson. My wife and I had been looking at this vehicle for a few days and finally decided to do the deal. I have purchased a number of new and used cars in my life and never and I mean NEVER have I had such an unpleasant transaction. It took a total of 6 hours from start to finish to receive my car. I have purchased homes in much less time than this. The saleperson was obviously playing the waiting game with us for whatever reason. He made 2 trips to his Sales Manager to work out some pricing and then just seemed to disappear for extended periods of time. After 5 hours of this game playing we finally signed purchase papers and then had to wait an additional hour or more for our car to be detailed. Once we received our car and took it home we noticed that the "detailing" this dealership did was nothing more than a cursory washing at best. My wife commented that it looked as if they only squirted it with a hose. The door hand pulls were still dirty and grimey from the previous owners. It was evident no effort was made to clean the doors pulls and other areas in the car. I mentioned this to Erika during a phone conversation a few days later and she obviously passed it on to Dewayne who contacted me and offered to have my car detailed again. I told him no thank you and that I felt that waiting 6 hours the first time was long enough and I did not want to be trapped in another prolonged visit. Additionally it also took me 2 weeks and a number of calls to get my second key. There is no way I would ever consider doing business with this dealer again no matter what. I have previously purchased cars in that automall from different dealers and the transactions went off with hardly any problems or lengthy waits. If you value your time as I do you would be better off to go somewhere else.

I would not recommend this dealer.

By AdamPeaslee on 8/24/2013 at 6:20 PM. Helped by Kayla Gillen.

I was looking at a used Chevy Avalanche. I had been looking for months when this one showed up. I contacted Kayla who said "If you are coming I will have it pulled off the lot". I told her that I would be there between 5 and 6pm. It took me 2 hours to drive there and made it there at 5:45pm. When I arrived a salesman asked if the could help me and I told him that I was looking for Kayla and he informed me that she was located at a different lot but wondered what I was looking for. I had seen the Avalanche getting washed in the back and told him that was what I was here to look at. He told me that he just sold it. I will never deal with them again. You don't make promises and not keep them.

I bought a used Camry here, after doing a lot of...

By markspj on 6/4/2013 at 11:20 PM. Helped by Brian Johnson.

I bought a used Camry here, after doing a lot of research, on both the dealer and the actual car. After test driving, I decided to buy it. During the negotiating process, they asked me THREE times if I wanted an alarm system installed for $800. I kept telling them no. So I finally get the car, but they only gave me the sub-key. I didn't notice until I got home that I had no other keys, or remote, in the package. Returned next day, and was told that there were no other keys, or remote. That seemed a bit odd to me, as the previous owner had kept the car in pristine condition, that there were no master keys (the car is supposed to have two) or remote. They told me, "it happens." So I went and got two copies made of the key I did have. I found out later that if I tried to open my trunk with the sub-key they gave me, the alarm went off! The alarm I declined paying $800 extra for. It was already installed, it had been installed by the previous owner. I had to go back to the dealer to get a remote, since I could not find one online, because I did not know what series alarm system I had, and didn't know how to work it. It was armed, and I had no way of resetting it, and no way to get in the trunk from outside the car. Every time I went back to the dealer, they insisted I had to contact the salesman, but he had given me a phone number that was a disconnect, and was located down the street. Both times I went up there, I had to wait until they contacted him, then was told he was busy, so then I could state my needs. I just wanted a simple answer both times: 1. Was there another key or remote? and 2. How do I work the alarm system (which I was told it did not have, and declined paying $800 extra for) I ended up having to pay over $100 for a remote (and to get it programmed) for an alarm system I did not want, just so I could disarm it and get into my trunk. The whole thing left me feeling like I was being lied to: that they were trying to get me to pay $800 for an alarm (that was already installed), and when I declined, they kept the remote. The guy in parts was really nice and helpful, but the service managers were just short of being outright rude. ------------------------------------------- Update: I received a call from Brian Johnson, the Used Car Manager, who listened to my concerns, apologized, and offered me another master key and another remote, free. He stated that his purpose was to make sure that all customers are satisfied. I was impressed by the follow-up and by his offer to make things right. So I am upgrading my review. If you are in the market for a used car, they do have good quality cars, and if you have a problem, contact Brian Johnson, the Used Car Manager, and he will take care of it.

I would recommend this dealer.

By aduckzoner on 4/2/2013 at 5:22 PM. Helped by Fred.

This Dealer has a sub-par service facility that is not properly sized for the volume of customers they experience. A recent express oil-change/routine inspection took four hours. If you intend to wait for your vehicle it is like visiting a dealer of yore where you wait in cramped quarters, wander the showroom -grounds, or take a hike. Unpleasant enough experience that I don't want to repeat, even if must drive to Tacoma or Chehalis. I'm told a new service facility is in the works. Let's hope it ultimately measures up to many other, better Toyota service experiences that I have had with dealers in Oregon and Virginia.

I would not recommend this dealer.

This is your typical stealership that will say anything...

By 2012Fj on 11/8/2012 at 3:38 AM. Helped by Brian piper.

This is your typical stealership that will say anything to sell you a car. They played the waiting game with me so I was there for hours longer than I should have been. They do this to get you mentally invested i it to make it harder for you to leave without buying a vehicle. The finance guys try everything in the book to get you to buy an extended warranty, protectants, etc. They try to make you feel like an idiot for not financing an extended warranty that doesnt even begin until the factory warranty ends. When that doesnt work they try to lay a guilt trip on you. It reminded me of that scene in the movie Fargo. The whole thing was insulting. If you really want an extended warranty, there are dealerships in other states that will sell you the same warranty for less than half the price that these guys are asking. A quick google search will save you a ton of money. To be fair, none of this is unique to this dealership. Its all pretty standard when buying a new car. I probably wouldnt have bothered to rate this dealer except i have a cosmetic part on my vehicle that came damaged and they refused to replace it. Probably a $20 part. I just went to a different dealer to have my problems fixed. No arguing or begging was required. Why is that? Probably because they want to be the next dealer to have an opportunity to try and sell me an extended warranty......

I would not recommend this dealer.
