I bought a 2016 used RAV 4 XLE

I had a very great experience with Greg Crigger the salesman. I had called Sunday 9/23/16 in the morning and he was very patient with me and spoke to me for almost 1 hr. He never pushed me to come and purchase. He listen to my situation and helped me through the process for 3 different cars. After are conversation I knew he was the salesman I wanted to work with. Second time purchasing a truck from Tustin Toyota. Mario and Jesus helped me get my new truck that I specially requested. Where as other dealerships would sell me other colors or other options that I did not want or request. After finishing up the deal , what I wanted to pay for the truck, financing with Anthony was a walk in the park. No pushing added options that I did not need. I came in a car rental, so could not pick up truck right away, Mr. De Jesus personally delivered the truck to my home. Customer service at its best.Thank you Tustin Toyota for making another car purchase experience fun and quick, you guys earned a customer for life!

Mario Arellano and Tarek Abdelmuti: The BEST!

Mario Arellano did it again! My family has been buying cars from Mario since 2003. He helped my brother Alain get a Toyota Corolla for an incredible price. So then my sister Nora went and bought a Toyota Corolla too! When my parents needed a car, mario got them a Toyota RAV4 for the best deal anywhere, I could not believe how happy my parents were. Last year my wife’s cousin needed a car and I called Mario for help. He got Marta a 2017 Toyota Corolla for an unbelievable price that beat everything Marta had looked at other dealerships and we did the paperwork before seeing the car since marta already knew what she wanted. My sister Diana needed a new car so of course we contacted Mario. Mario had Tarek Abdelmuti drive us around looking for a RAV4 in their many lots. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and found us the perfect car. Diana bought a 2018 Toyota RAV4 without any hassle, and in fact the car wasn’t even in the lot, but that’s how much we trust Mario, Tarek, and Tustin Toyota. I can’t recommend enough Toyota of Tustin for their customer care, integrity, best prices and their lounge is perfect for kids with snacks and drinks, not to mention the showroom is very artfully done. Ask for Mario Arellano, or Tarek Abdelmuti. They are so easy and stress-free to work with. Terrible customer service

My husband and I went there to look at a certified pre-owned Rav 4. The guy Cody came out and was trying to talk us into buying a new car then we had to wait for 20 minutes while we were waiting for him to come back and let us test drive the certified pre-owned car. He never came back we waited for 40 minutes asked other sales guys too if we could test drive the car and no one seemed to really want to help us or to sell a car. So we left and we will never return again! Then we went to another Toyota dealership Elmore Toyota and we bought a new Toyota RAV4 in are so happy!

Unfriendly prices for parts and service

Tustin Toyota should not have to gouge customers on the price of ordinary parts. This is a giant operation--in new, used, parts and service. You would think that good customer service and satisfaction would argue against charging nearly $400 for a spare Toyota Key and "keyless entry" key fob. Here are the "highway robbery" numbers. Spare key for Toyota 4Runner $21. Key fob transmitter $90. Total of $111 for the Parts Department. BUT WAIT...BOTH NEED TO BE "PROGRAMMED" BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. (That’s something that the Parts folks didn't mention before the sale!) There can't really be two hours of labor or that much additional labor cost for "programming" a key or a fob, can there? That's an ADDITIONAL $140 to program the key, and an ADDITIONAL $135 to program the fob/transmitter. (Plus, supposedly it takes two hours to do the "programming." So now, for one key and one little fob, the grand total cost is $385. This seems to me to be an unacceptable, way-over-the-top price. You could purchase an entire computer for that kind of exorbitant (squeeze the customer) cost. Nobody was rude, but I wonder how the employees could keep a straight face. I don't have a problem with a fair and reasonable cost. But it seems to me that this is an unjustified price gouge (i.e., overcharge, swindle). Best guess is the employees have heard this complaint many times previously.

I pull out my hair every time.

Let’s start off what will be a he start of your experience... 1st you have an appointment for a specific time and when you roll up the drive way you wait in a trail of cars to the valet which sometimes goes fast and sometimes not. Once you get to the valet they direct you to a lane. 2nd is your lane wait experience. This drives me up the wall. You have service representatives walking all over but it takes up to 20 minutes to get somebody to help you. So far on average at this point you’ve already waited about 30 minutes since arriving and you’re only at the drop off stage... ahhhh???!!! Next up is the service representatives. One or two seem nice and friendly but I still get annoyed by a couple of things... one is they are only service representatives you never see or talk to the people that actually work on your car. Two, I bring up something that is bothering me about the car and even though it’s brand new they tell me that if I want someone to look at that it will take a very long time on top of the standard two hours to do an oil change. ... each time I say fine I’ll make a separate appointment for that specific thing since I’ve already been there 40 minutes and my car is still in the valet lane. 3rd now the waiting room, they should really give the courtesy drop off girl a desk by the entrance to the service department instead of in the waiting area. The reason I say this is that everyone watches as each service representative take their turn on coming over to her and flirt with her. She seems way too interested in them and bothered by actual customers. Last is so rediculous it makes me laugh out loud every time... after the service representative tells you your all set they send you off to show your paperwork to the valet. Every time they find my key and then attempt to set the panic alarm off to locate the vehicle, and they have to put it up to their chins to add as extra antennas then once they locate the general area they hand me the keys and say it’s over there! There freaking valets not key holders. Just really gives the impression of laziness and lack of professionalism and care for the customer,who just spent 3 hours waiting. Overall if my Toyota didn’t have the service included I’d be rushing to jiffy lube were they respect people’s time.

Pretty Bad

Inadequate replacement of parts meant I had to return for more costly repairs. Also had vehicle damage which wasn't observed immediately. The service experience has dropped dramatically perhaps reflected in a recent high turnover of their service managers means I'm looking elsewhere for service.

New Car Purchase, HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

Today I purchased my third new car since 2014 from Tustin Toyota. That pretty much says a lot. but not everything. It’s not just that Toyota continues to produce cutting edge vehicles, it is the people that work at Tustin Toyota that make it happen. Today Casey Troncoso, one of their lead salesmen, put me into a 2018 Toyota Camry, taking my 2017 Corolla in as trade and lettingvme walk out with no out of pocket expenses. That is unheard of. But because I’ve developed a relationship with with people who work there they feel more comfortable creating magic. Casey answers my calls on his days off, always willing to put together a proposal to see if he might assist with making my daily life more pleasurable. I’ve just bonded with Stephen Kelly, a new service writer who always takes that extra step to make sure you are taken care of in an timely and professional manner. I signed paperwork for more than an hour with a great guy in their financial department that has worked their greater than twelve years. He was the most knowledgeable, organized, and basically the nicest guy that made the task of completing the sale documents pass quickly while thoroughly informing me of my protection opportunities without making me feel he was pushing additional sales item onto the ticket. Because he was not. I got the best deal, the best car, and will continue going to Tustin Toyota of service and any future vehicle purchases. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Thank you everyone at Tustin Toyota.

My hood shatter my windshield driving home after service

This is a review that is long past due. So I got in a little fender bender over a year ago and the front of my car is slightly damaged but completely drivable and has been driven like this since October 2015. I brought my car for service in August or end of July for the 20k service. I went to pick up my car and the porters could not locate my car for over 15 mins and had two of them searching. I finally locate the car near the front parking lot and they said the keys are inside so I'm good to take off. I live in fro to the Tustin hangers only 3 miles away and when I was on Tustin ranch road, driving over edinger, the the hood flies up and shatters the windshield. I slammed on the brakes and turn right but I see that I was on a bridge and didn't want to drive in the wall or possibly even drive off the bridge. The speed limit is 50 so I was going about 50 mph. The car behind nearly rear ends me. I couldn't pull over because I couldnt see in front of me due to shatter windshield and oh yea. The hood covering it. I get out to inspect it and see what happened and noticed a broken wire tie. The service people used a plastic wire tie to secure my hood down and didn't think that was important to tell me. I did receive a call from them after writing a review but they only asked what happened. Just be careful when you pick up your vehicle. Make sure the hood is secure and locked before driving off otherwise, you have a $400 windshield bill due to Tustin Toyotas service techs.

I wish I would have dealt with this Kyle person who previous reviews talk so highly about! I leased a new car from Tustin Toyota in August and I thought the experience was great at first. However, with some information that has recently come to fruition, the two people I dealt with that day have proven to be unethical. Unfortunately, they lived up to the stereotypical "car salesman" reputation and I fell for it, because I normally like to believe that a good majority of people are honest. You live and you learn, I guess! I can't wait to turn my car back in and wipe my hands clean of Tustin Toyota. Very disappointing experience after all.
