Great Service Department!

By Pam D on 10/7/2017 at 2:29 PM.

I've been a customer of Vero Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep for the past 10+ years. Two purchases and ten years of excellent service have made me a believer.

I would recommend this dealer.

I’m sorry to have to say stay away from Vero Beach Chrysler

By Whiteram on 3/20/2017 at 11:15 PM.

I purchased a pre-owned ram 1500 for Vero Beach Chrysler Jeep Dodge less than a year ago. When back to have a service performed and asked about leasing a new ram. Mr. Donald offered me $10,000.00 less from what I originally payed. I fully understand vehicles depreciate in value, although $10,000.00 in less than a year and I’ve only drove it 13000 miles. We were truly insulted. My wife and I owned a dealership for many years. So we truly understand how a dealership should be run and how important repeat customers are.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible Experience.

By V8POWER on 3/13/2017 at 3:29 PM.

Management to service department lacks professionalism. Sloppy work in the service department from simple oil changes to tire rotation. Management handles complaints with excuses and denials.

FRAUDS. Forged Documents, warranty & Lemon Car sold as new.

By Eva Milner on 3/8/2017 at 8:14 PM. Helped by Ann Marie Yrigoyen.

This is our review of the purchase of my FIAT 500X from Chrysler Dodge – Jeep – RAM of Vero Beach, (herein after referred to as Chrysler Vero) on the date of 08-12-2016. On August 12TH, 2016, we stopped by the Chrysler Vero dealership after seeing an Orange FIAT 500X with large Manager’s Special designation and price in large numbers $15,880. We were approached by sales person Ann Marie Yrigoyen. We inquired as to the vehicle being new and Ann stated the vehicle only had 4100 miles on it, was one owner and purchased by a local wealthy (beacher) from the dealership. She went on to elaborate that the customer wasn’t happy with the automobile and to promote customer satisfaction, the dealership purchased it back as a “courtesy.” She continued to say, their service department also check into a “check engine light” and found no problems with the vehicle, so we were getting this vehicle $5,000 under book value. At no time, did Ann make mention the title for the vehicle was a branded (lemon) title. With all fees, add ons, vehicle price and sales tax with dealer fees, the total purchase price and amount financed came to a total of $21896.06. A couple of weeks after the purchase, we were contacted by our insurance company who investigated the title and said it was “uninsurable,” because it was a “branded title.” We asked what that meant. The insurance company said they weren’t sure, but they believed it was a “lemon law” car. We then returned to the dealership and confronted Ann about the concern. She then brought us into Greg Dublin’s office that was, at the time, the Finance Manager. We were also joined by the used car sales manager. We believe his name was Chris. In the ensuing exchange, we were assured, the title was good, that the car was not a “lemon” and worth much more than we purchased it for. All three of the dealership employees again reiterated and told the story of their unhappy customer and they had merely bought the vehicle back from her as a courtesy. About 6 weeks after the purchase of the FIAT, we visited the Chrysler Fiat dealership in Orlando and wanted to trade it for a FIAT Spyder 124. At that time, we were brought back into the Finance Manager’s office and shown a computer screen which showed the vehicle was branded a “lemon” and basically worthless to them as a trade. We asked how much the car was worth and he stated in the ball park of $8,000, but that they would never carry a “lemon” titled car on their property, nor sell one to any of their customers. They continued by stating it would immediately go to auction. We were stunned to say the least and left the Orlando dealer almost in a state of shock. That week, following our weekend visit to the Orlando dealership, we once again confronted Ann on the “lemon” car issue and once again, she went through the entire wealthy older customer story and said the Orlando dealership was just trying to rip us off on the trade price. Her answer was to try and sell us something else on their lot at Chrysler Vero, which at the time, there was nothing we were interested in. We asked if we could get out of the deal and were told in no uncertain terms, we were in the deal and there was nothing else that could be done. We decided to retain the legal counsel of Mr. Stephen Fromang of Vero Beach, Florida. We instructed him to draft a letter and send it to the Chrysler Vero dealership threatening to file a suit if the issue was not resolved to our satisfaction. During the week of December 12TH, 2016, Mr. Fromang sent the letter which is included in your document package on this case. Within that week, Mr. Fromang was sent copies of paperwork we signed, but never received copies of. Chrysler Vero said we had no case, except to go to Arbitration, which is notorious for siding with dealers over their consumers. This signed agreement was part of the information sent to Mr. Fromang, but we state here, with strong emphasis added, we never saw any of this paperwork. Yes, we did sig it, but were told that the paperwork was internal paperwork at the time that explained the salesperson Ann had disclosed to us they purchased the vehicle back from one of their customers as a “courtesy.” In the paperwork, there was a signed copy of the “AS IS” requirement when selling a used vehicle. This document was fraudulent, because we never signed it. In fact, the signature is a very bad one at that and not close to my real signature. We have the original “AS IS” and never signed it. After ordering a copy of the CarFax on our vehicle, we learned the history and truth of the vehicle. It was never sold in Vero Beach by Chrysler Vero, it was in fact originally sold in Ohio. It was then sent to Florida to Chrysler of Clearwater, purchased by another customer, then returned to the deanship at yet another “courtesy buyback and then Clearwater Chrysler then sold it at the Orlando Auto Auction to Chrysler Vero Beach. After receiving the report, it became clear, we had been defrauded since the very beginning. Nothing that was represented leading to the sale of our FIAT 500X was truthful, accurate, honest, nor informed. On Saturday, February 18TH, 2017, we returned to Chrysler Vero and confronted them with the TRUE CarFax report. A loud and boisterous argument ensued and after the parties calmed down, we were brought into an office with the General Sales Manager, Chris and their idea was to sell us a brand new Jeep, with a higher monthly payment and absolutely no consideration for the fraud that had occurred on their part against us with the FIAT. We left, once again, feeling helpless and victimized. Our $2193.00 Extended Warranty is worthless. Our $509 Tire Warranty is worthless and for (3) years, not the promised (6) years. Our car is worth around $8,300, so total loss on our side is in excess of $11,280.00 as of the writing of this complaint. Our last communication with Vero Beach Chrysler was Monday, March 6TH, 2017, in which we were hung up on. This call was with VB Chrysler's Sale Manager, Chris Donald. We might also mention, VB Chrysler ran our credit again (9) times and knocked the credit score down 31 points. The BBB is now involved, the Florida State Attorney General's Office, the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles, we have retained private counsel and will be filing a Deceptive Sales/Fraud lawsuit against Vero Beach Chrysler and all those involved this month in the 19TH Judicial Circuit.

Professional thru and thru

By Mr Ben on 2/16/2017 at 12:21 AM.

My review isn't necessarily on making a sale agreement with the dealership. This is actually my overall review of the environment. I drove a lil over 50 miles to visit the dealership having spoken briefly with Brian Hunter via email. I knew that there was no way that anyone would have the truck I needed, but that it would have to be ordered. I'm just fine with that. Needless to say Mr Hunter and I could not come to an agreement when negotiating the sale. Yes it is a pity, but it happens. You can't hold a dealer to what you think is fair. What did impress me about the dealership itself was how cordial and respectful the staff is. I expected 3 salesman to jump on me like vultures the moment I stepped through the door. Not so here. In about 20 seconds I noticed an employee (I'm assuming sales staff) walk to his desk, put down a handful of paperwork, then turn to greet me. I asked to see Mr Hunt and there was not a sour or disappointed look on his face knowing that I wouldn't be his customer. He shook my hand and said he'd take me right to him. Not "oh his office is over there next to the bowl of red petunias. Mr Hunter greeted me very respectful by standing and shaking my hand. He recognized my name in a few seconds after reminding him that we've spoken a few days earlier. I didn't expect him to remember at all. Not with the amount of customer traffic he has to deal with. Never once did he pretend to be my friend as most dealership staff would. I just abhor when salesman do that. We're not friends, we're not even acquaintances. I'm a customer and he's staff, helping people with the 2nd largest investment in their lives. He does so very professionally and never presumed to call me by my first name. He never played the old salesman game by telling me things I would want in addition to what I had outlined for the order. In fact he was extremely careful to explain things I didn't need to order because they came with the truck. He never once tried to sell me up with bells and whistles I do not want or need. No pressure. This is the level of professionalism I expect from a dealership but not the level that I've come to experience in most dealerships. Again, I'm disappointed that we couldn't agree with each other. But that may change. I hope it will. You'll be treated extremely well here. You won't be treated like we need them or they need you. I hate when dealers sound desperate for your business. It's cheap and belongs on lots like "Billy Bob's 2nd hand auto sales and mud emporium". You'll get treated with respect and professionalism unmatched by others in either Indian River or Brevard county. This dealer is loaded with class and a down to earth approach to the consumer.

I would recommend this dealer.

By Sherry Prince on 2/10/2017 at 7:22 PM.

I love the sincerity of this dealership. The sales staff was available to answer questions but not high pressure like other dealerships. Brian Hunter was amazing to work with! Great sense of humor and patient with a customer who had done some homework! The service staff makes you feel like a person not just the next job to be done! Very pleased with my over all experience!

Amazing Service.. beyond the call of duty

By GinaRubicon on 1/20/2017 at 3:22 AM. Helped by I'm sorry, but I forgot his name. He completed my oil change, rotated my tires and put my bike rack on. He was a wonderful guy. I'm sure you have it in your records who he is..

My Jeep service at home has been sub par at best. So I was afraid when I had to take my car in for service while in Vero for two months. I have a good mind to drive the 900+ miles to come back to Vero every time I need service. They were so much better than my service at home that I found it hard to believe. They also put my bike rack on for me. Robyn let me know that my tires on my Rubicon needed to be rotated each time I change my oil and showed me how to save money by buying a package of oil changes. Neither of these were ever mentioned to me by my dealer. From the minute I called for clarity of directions they were very nice and patient with me as a person who didn't know the local landmarks. I wish I lived closer to this dealership so I could continue to get this kind of awesome service.

I would recommend this dealer.

Like no other car dealership I have EVER dealt with.

By Barbara Seagram on 1/9/2017 at 5:09 AM. Helped by She was manning the Express lane. She was excellent. Do not know her name, sadly. She is to be commended for her work ethic and generosity of spirit..

I live in Toronto, Canada but come to Vero to vacation every year. The first thing I do is take my car to Vero Beach Dodge Chrysler. Last year, I had Brian who was phenomenal This year, he has been promoted so I called and was told that if I just wanted a thorough check up, I could use the Express check up lane and did not have to make an appointment. Sure enough, I arrived at 4.30 pm. The lady receiving cars in that lane asked a few questions. and I was told I would wait approximately 1/2 hr and they would check the car out. Sure enough she came back and told me what needed to be done which was minimal. I left, having had an oil change, entire car checked and the cabin filter replaced...all for $65.00. I was spell bound. the lady (wish I knew her name) was so excellent and went above and beyond the call of duty. I asked if they had a detailing service but it was too late for that. Since I had just arrived from Canada, the car was filthy and she arranged to have it washed for me. Service like this no longer exists and it is alive and well at Vero Beach Dodge Chrysler. It was SUCH a pleasure. Thank you.

Very personable and knowledgeable personnel

By RonaldD on 12/12/2016 at 7:54 PM. Helped by Nick Vasile, Brian Hunter.

Robert, the salesman, knew the product very well. He was very polite and able to describe all aspects of the vehicle in an easily understandable fashion. Nick, the manager, was very responsive and willing to make a sale. Mark, the used car buyer, was willing and able to discuss the trade-ins in a reasonable and knowledgeable manner. I also managed to lock the keys in my old car and, thankfully, Brian was able to retrieve them for me.

Very disappointed

By Mrainey907 on 12/10/2016 at 12:34 PM. Helped by I talked to so many people, was told I would receive a call back, and never did..

We bought a Ford fusion from this place, the the buying experience was great. We did have to return about 3 times to sign forgotten papers. However we were really excited about the disappearing deductable! Though we weren't told that they wouldn't be able to actually repair our car, and that we would end up paying more then $100.00, even though it was never disclosed to us! The photo of us and our car was never posted either, so we couldn't get that "free detail". Very disappointed by this place that "knows Vero is a small town, and always wants to keep a good name."

Best experience at a dealership we've ever had!!

By Jessica Hopkins on 12/8/2016 at 5:05 PM.

My husband and I had been watching vehicles online for the right one and the right price. We received an email update on a Jeep Cherokee we wanted to test drive. From the appointment set up to the deal signing everyone was so friendly and helpful!! We were greeted with smiles from every6one we met and our sales consultant, Bruce Ryan, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable in the vehicle and in the dealership!! Some of the staff even came over and said hi and joked with my husband after they saw his Buffalo Bills bumper sticker on our Wrangler!! Great experience!! Fantastic customer service!! Highly recommend!!

Terrible way of doing business

By sbueno on 12/6/2016 at 6:46 PM.

Appalled at the dishonest way VBCJDR (Vero Beach Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM) do their business. I left my Grand Caravan there for them to inspect on a pending Recall; two hours later this guy Doug calls and tells me that the parts needed to be ordered (something I already expected), but then he adds that upon pulling out the front wheels of the vehicle during inspection they realized I needed to replace the brake pads urgently, that they are in a very bad shape (only 2.5mm thick). I asked how much the parts and service would cost, and he told me $285. I found it very expensive, but as I was about to get into a work meeting, the way he made it sound urgent, and since I have a toddler and a baby and therefore I needed to worry about their safety and not only mine, I gave the okay (Just for the record, if any of those items were missing I wouldn't have given the okay, since the price seemed out of this world expensive). Four hours later (Yes, 4 hours later!) Doug calls again and tells me that now they’ve inspected the rear wheels and the pads over there were also in a very bad shape and needed immediate replacement. At that moment (No work meetings to get into), I asked him to hold on that one because I wanted to check with the dealer that sold me the car about that issue, since I've only had the car for 8 months and they are very trustworthy people. It turns out that after hearing the story the dealer had the same concern as me - why did Doug/VBCJDR call me FOUR HOURS later to say something he should have told me when he called about the front brakes? It was really weird. That dealer told me, “This is not the right way to do business!”, and it was really unfortunate that I had already given VBCJDR the green light to replace the front pads. That dealer also advised me I should get well-informed and check with other local services for the replacements. I really wasn’t ready to spend over $600 (considering applicable taxes) and had I known all that from the beginning I wouldn’t have the job done there at VBCJDR. I really appreciate their telling me about the need to replace the pads, but they really acted in a dishonest way. I wish I had read the other reviews about VBCJDR before and I should have talked to somebody before giving them the okay for the front ones. It turns out I took the car to another mechanic shop and guess what - the back pads were replaced for HALF THE PRICE, even though I had CERAMIC ones installed (lifetime warranty) against VBCJDR's cheaper ones, and the job was done in HALF THE TIME (1 hour of service against VBCJDR's 2 hours charged). Also, VBCJDR stated that they made a full “free” inspection, but the numbers show that they drove 10 miles with my car (TEN MILES! WHERE TO?) and even after those ten miles they didn’t report the car had a problem with the steering wheel that was pulling to the right. Know what the other mechanic did? He rotated the front wheels after testing them without having to drive 10 miles and solved the problem FOR FREE! What a glaring difference! The only reason I went back to VBCJDR was because I had the Recall scheduled. Nothing will make me go back now.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Buying a new car and returning a leased car

By K&LCozens on 12/4/2016 at 12:47 AM.

Experience was fantastic! From returning the old leased vehicle to closing on the new vehicle. Starting with Robyn in service to Bruce Ryan, to Robert Hock and finally Robert David the experience was painless and timely; arrived at 12pm with old car and left by 2pm with the new car. Cant ask for more than that.

Great experience in Vero Beach Chrysler Dodge Dealership

By Carolyn2710 on 11/30/2016 at 9:58 PM.

We really weren't looking to buy right now but stopped in and found a car we really liked. Robert Hock, came up and introduced himself, we told him we were just looking. NO HIGH PRESSURE. He answered our questions and when he couldn't he found them out. We really liked him, he too was from Michigan. We're snow birds. He played hockey with the Detroit Red Wings a few years ago. He introduced us to Cristian Donald the sales manager and we left not thinking we were interested at this time. When we got home after investigating the price , we called Robert and told him we had a deal. This dealership and the manager, Cristian, is a NO nonsense deal. They know their product and it all worked in our favor. Our trade in was excellent and gave us the amount we needed to finish the deal. We found some inprofections in the Grand Caravan R/T and Cristian, immediately took care of them and we drove our new car home the next day. If you need a car and want a fair deal with a great staff go in and ask for Robert Hock and tell him Bill and Carolyn Thorsted sent you.

I would recommend this dealer.
