First and foremost, I had the great pleasure of working with Bobby Johnson which is an incredible guy and deserves the be recognized as one of the best salesmen I've ever had the pleasure to do buinsess with. He was always kind, polite and just a great guy, thanks Bobby... Secondly, Mike Mayfield is a valuable asset to Volvo and the automotive industry. I would personally like to THANK him for the his incredible help with my new purchase, Thanks Mike... The rest of the team at Volvo of Annapolis was all pleasurable to deal with as well. Since this is a new car I have not had the chance to experience service at this dealership but I will return at a later date and disclose how service is at this location. Poor customer service

It seems to be the case that every time this dealership's SERVICE department messes up, they do everything except apologize. Stop with the excuses and just say "I'm sorry", which will earn you better respect. I have nothing bad to say about their SALES department, since they have always worked well in selling us vehicles with no pressure. But because the service department is lacking in deference towards their customers, it is time for me to find another Volvo dealership.

Mr. Lawrence was amazing!! He was professional, knowledgeable, and on point with communication. Never a step in the purchasing process where I was kept out of the loop! Lawrence Huggins made my first experience at Annapolis Volvo smooth and easy. I found the car I wanted online and called to ask about it. He welcomed me in to the dealership on his day off so he could work with me. The car I wanted was used and had just arrived at Volvo. He had the exterior cleaned before showing me the car. He was pleasant during our test drive. He shared valuable information about the car and kept the conversation flowing in a relaxed manner. When I returned the next day to buy the car, Lawrence was just as attentive and solid to work with. He addressed my questions about the age of the tires. He was patient at all times and I felt heard and understood as a customer. At times during our conversations, Lawrence showed compassion for a wide variety of people that indicated he was a warm person and not just on a hustle for sales. I would recommend Lawrence to anyone looking to buy a car. He is a solid person and great with customers.

Could not ask for better sales experience!!!

I took a long time narrowing down my recent vehicle purchase, 8 months in fact. I wasn't sure I wanted a Volvo but on my day of test drives I stopped in here and worked with Thom Lamm. Thom took me out on a test drive of the new XC90 and had more knowledge on the vehicle than one could hope to expect. He was patient, kind and most of all, he was not a high pressure salesman. You all know the type, the ones that make car buying painful. Thom was the exact opposite of the typical car salesman. I told him I was there to test drive and was not buying and he completely understood. He took more than enough time with me answering all my questions, even knowing the vehicle may not be the one I ended up with. When I went to leave, Steve Currie, the sales manager introduced himself and provided me a quote for the vehicle I test drove and said he just wanted to introduce himself and told me to let him know if I needed anything further. Absolutely no pressure. Over the coming months I kept in touch and brought my wife back to test drive the car. She was immediately sold. And of course she agreed that this was the place we wanted to buy from. It was the customer service and approach that Thom and Steve used that made us comfortable and happy to deal with them. As we got closer to buying Steve and Thom ran several deal scenarios for us. We changed our minds on the particular vehicle we wanted from them several times. We asked for tons of quotes and quite honestly they bent offer backwards to accommodate. We were closing in on a deal and at the last minute we changed our purchase decision to another car which they happily obliged. They even threw in some add on options and swapped wheels based on my requests. We got an awesome sales price. On the day I came in Steve mentioned that they just came out with a $3000 trade in rebate the night before. I had no knowledge of this and Steve, being honest and up front gave me the rebate, in addition to the higher end of the blue book value for my trade in. It really was a nice cap on a great deal. Marva the finance manager got me the lowest interest rate possible and made the paperwork painless and easy. This may sound long winded but I have dealt with several car dealerships and even went to other luxury car dealerships in the area. It was the customer service of Thom and Steve that made me a first time and hopefully a repeat customer at Annapolis Volvo. If you are considering one of their vehicles, please do yourself a favor and ask for either of them. They are a pleasure to deal with and just honest, good people. Thank you Thom and Steve! -Mike K.

Fastest car-buying experience I've ever had

I stopped by the showroom (where I've bought cars before) and was greeted by Lawrence Huggins. He quickly established what I was there for, arranged to have my old car (bought at Volvo Cars Annapolis) appraised, took me on a test drive, arranged the application for financing and sent me home in my new car in one smooth process. And Marva Laws took very good care of me with the financing, too.

Would not have purchased another Volvo if it weren't for...

Bobby Johnson at Annapolis Volvo deserves 10 stars! After the problems I had with my 2005 Volvo XC90 (new transmission, broken wheel hub, broken gear stick, etc)., I had decided to NEVER purchase another Volvo of any model. Ironically, my husband and I were there to have that car serviced when we got the news that the cost of the repairs would exceed the value of the car. Hence, the recommendation to begin looking for a new car. Bobby Johnson was thankfully available. He was patient and explained how the 2017 Volvo XC90 was different and better than the 2005 Volvo XC90. He explained how the safety features and technology were far more advanced the the older model. Bobby went through every feature on the new models - the Inscription, the Momentum, the Sports model, and the Hybrid. He took the time to show us the models that were on site at the service center. Were it not for Bobby Johnson, we would not be driving another Volvo. Also, when it came to financing and negotiating the car price, Bobby and the site manager really showed that they put customers first. I completely understand that car dealerships have to make a profit, but in this case, given my prior Volvo history and my feelings about paying for a new car versus a used model, these two gentlemen proved that Annapolis Volvo motto to be true - the customer does come first. They put forth what others may call an unusual or unrealistic deal (as described by Volvo Princeton) to make sure that we left with a much more positive impression of Volvo than which we came. It mattered more to them that I believe in the Volvo brand again than how much profit they made on the car. For that I will be eternally grateful. Unfortunately, we purchased our Volvo XC90 Inscription from another dealer to get the color we wanted without the suspension feature, but if there was any way possible, I would transfer the sale of our car to Bobby Johnson because he's the one who did the work and he's the one who actually sold the car to us. If there is any bonus or employee recognition program, Bobby Johnson should receive an award as this was definitely the sale of the century. And to reinforce how much he deserves recognition, he even helped us set up a couple things on the car even though we bought from another dealer. Sorry for the length of this review, but it's important that you know how much the service we received from Annapolis Volvo meant.

bought an XC90

I just bought an XC90, which I searched for over two states and 6 dealerships. Volvo Cars of Annapolis gave me the best deal. my salesperson Ola was very easy to work with and we were able to finish the paperwork with little difficulty. The problem came when it was time to actually give me the car. For some reason, the final clean-up and putting on my tags took 2 hours more. This was a very inefficient period of time since I was the only one buying a new car at the time. No body seemed to be able to get my car finished, including someone from the manager's office. If this is the way the service department workd, them I will look for another one.

The dealer did a bate and switch on new car service

We purchased a new Volvo in Aug, 2016. We were informed that that warranty included full service for the initial term. When we took the vehicle in for the 10000 service we were told that there would be an additional charge for tire rotation. We were told that was included. The service mgr. said that that happens frequently. The sales team says one thing and it isn't true. That service was even included when I bought a new Volkswagen. It may seem small but what else is next.

Just purchased a 2017 Volvo XC90

We knew we wanted the Volvo XC 90, so did not really have to be "sold." Lawrence Huggins understood this and provided just the right amount of assistance. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, Lawrence took all the time we wanted to walk us through the (many) features. He was great, and we know he will be there for us if we have additional questions. Lawrence was probably the best car salesperson we have worked with in years. (And we have bought many cars!) Our experience with Marva Laws in the Business Office was equally positive. She was upbeat and took care of all the details so that we could complete a hassle-free purchase.

bought a older camaro

Bought and older camaro from these guys and as per the salesman he would send his wife to California in this car!!! He must of not liked his wife. Bad move I bought the car sight unseen!! Figured I was dealing with a reputable company but I was wrong. The car wouln't stay running, the liner on the ceiling was hanging off, the seat belts were broken, the coil spring shot to xxxx... the car felt like it was floating down the road. The odometer hasn't worked since the day I got it. THEY totally misrepresented the car. From the owner to the sales manager no one helped. I asked them to take the car back for what I paid and they said they would give me half of what I paid for it on a trade. Just on the odometer not working alone they should have worked with me !!! they had it advertised with 44k on it and at the final sale 144k.. When i received it the odometer didn't even work. Since I bought the car I put almost $4000 in ti it just to bring up to par. Ok so if you buy from these guys make sure 100% everything is in line because they will not assist you! highly recommend you don't shop here. Mike Mayfield will do everything he can to push you off and make you go away. The owner screens his calls and will not assist he pushes off to his puppets who are the typical car sales people who every one joke about. Good line of garbage they would lie to there mother to get money out of her wallet!!

This was by far the best experience I've ever had purchasing a car. Miguel Martinez and Mike Mayfield showed real concern in getting me the right car for the right price. They made sure that I was getting the best deal possible and completed the entire process with ease. I'm not use to a dealer and salesman this amazing and I will ONLY buy with MIGUEL MARTINEZ!

Best Experience Ever!

I was looking for a used full-size Yukon/Suburban/Escalade and had been to numerous dealerships in the Annapolis & surrounding areas. After exhaustive research and numerous failed deals, I had remembered a Yukon for sale at Annapolis Volvo's Used Car Center. I drove in late on a Saturday afternoon where someone was already test-driving a 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali. I spoke with Miguel and left him my phone number. He called me within 5 minutes and told me the truck was still available if I was still interested, so I returned and took it for a test drive immmediately (with 2 others also interested in this same vehicle). Miguel put no pressure on me to buy right there, but the condition of the vehicle was excellent, and the price was THOUSANDS below anyone else! I dealt with Miguel and Curt who could not have been more attentive and respectful. I left a deposit that night and returned first thing Monday to finalize my purchase and they could not have been nicer and more helpful. My sales experience was exemplary, and a few minor issues that the truck had were promised to be fixed at no cost shortly after purchase. The service staff went well beyond any other service departments I have encountered, especially Khris Brenneman. Khris called me within a week to have me bring the truck by for him to confirm parts and an appointment was scheduled within a few days. The vehicle was cleaned and detailed as promised and most of the items were corrected; however, one warning light intermittently kept coming on. Khris handled my call immediately and had me bring it in a second time for this issue which was not fixed as quickly and ultimately required a GM dealer to diagnose. I was apprised of it's status and was told to come get it on a Friday morning. Unfortunately, they discovered the issue was still unresolved and I was provided a courtesy loaner car for the weekend while the other dealer was stil diagnosing and correcting the problem. They could not have been more honest and apologetic about not having the problem fixed when promised even though it was at another dealer for service. All is now 100% perfect and I cannot recommend them enough! They have unbeatable prices, an attentive sales staff and a very thorough and experienced service department that isn't satisfied until everything is correct. I highly recommend them for a new or used vehicle!

Great price and service

We were looking for a used Toyota Tundra to tow our camper. After tons of internet research, a deal from Annapolis Volvo really caught our eye. The asking price was thousands below everybody else. We were skeptical but we decided to have a look. The truck looked better in person, which is rarely the case. Because the asking price was low to begin with, I was easy to arrive at price that made us both happy. When it was time to settle, they were very willing to work with us on our chosen method of payment. We strongly recommend Annapolis Volvo.
