Bait and Stwitch tactic

Dealer advertise a 2009 Jetta for $5888. Called and email sales staff and they said car is available. Just got a call saying the car is no longer available; thier website still shows as available Make sure you don’t deal with Katie Britt

I don't like being lied to

I car salesman I worked with decided the route to get me into one of his vehicles was to lie to me. He said there was no other 2018 stick shift crosstrek in the state. Only South Carolina had a vehicle similar to theirs, but take his word for it, his offer was much better. I sent him screen shots of a better model stick shift Subaru in Orlando and told him I don't like being lied to. His response was sad face and crying emojis saying he isn't paid on an hourly basis and that's why he didn't know that a dealership 51 miles away has stick shifts available. It's not my job to feel bad that he's not paid on an hourly basis.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Taken for a ride that cost me $180

Went to Subaru of Melbourne to have my timing belt replaced on my vehicle, was called by Bill a few hours later and he told me that the tech can not get the timing belt cover off without breaking it so i had the option of either letting them proceed with the likelihood of them breaking it then having to pay $300 on top of the $1000 quote or pay $180 for them to put it back together and give me my keys back, i recommend staying away form this service department.

I would not recommend this dealer.

We made you exciting new car purchase back in March and I would recommend anyone and everyone to go in and ask for Alex! The whole experience was a dream, my husband called earlier about a car we saw online when we walked in Alex welcomed us and had the car ready for us. But what is one of the most important things to me was he talked to us like we friendly neighbors not just someone he was trying to make a sale to and there was absolutely no pressure. Also he listened to us and made sure everything we wanted happened. I used to have the worst anexity about buying a car but with this experience I'd never want to buy from anyone but Alex.

I was a little hesitant when it came to purchasing a vehicle becuase I have had some trouble in the past with poor customer service at other dealerships but I was absolutely thrilled with the service and care I received at Subaru/Volvo of Melbourne! Not only do they operate with incredible team spirit, every single person I dealt with was an absolute pleasure and were very knowledgeable. They made me feel so comfortable, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If I am ever in need of a vehicle in the future I know I will be sticking with Subaru!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped me, I absolutely LOVE my new car and have never been happier!

Setting the Standard for Customer Service

What a wonderful experience that I've had at Subaru of Melbourne! They've so far done a really phenomenal job making the purchase process a smooth and personalized experience. The Internet Sales Manager, Shannon, has been so helpful at answering all of my questions and providing me with all of the information that I needed to make an informed purchase. They are so fortunate to have her - and I'm thrilled that she's taken care of me so well. My salesperson, James, has also done a great job - I had some special last minute requests, and he made certain that my needs were met, and that it was not a problem for them to accommodate me. Truly wonderful staff. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a demanding customer. I'm in the middle of this special order, and am anticipating delivery of my vehicle - a new 2017 BRZ! It's all very exciting, and I am grateful to have them as my local Subaru dealer.

Service Manager and team went above and beyond.

I called around to Subaru service centers and asked for a price to have a 105k mile service done and I found they had the best price. While having my car serviced the service advisor Howard called and asked whether the timing belt had been replaced as there was no record on file and this was my first visit to this store but the timing belt and pulley parts looked new. I had them replaced previously but had forgotten. I feel this was very honest of Howard to have done this and it saved me $300.

Happily taking my business elsewhere

I came to this dealership ready to purchase a 2016 WRX STI and left with only the knowledge that I will never do business with them. Before going in, I did my due diligence and contacted every dealership with a similar STI from here to the Gulf of Mexico to request best-offer quotes. When I sat down with the salesman at Subaru of Melbourne, I explained that I don’t do the “back-and-forth” haggling nonsense and that I’ve already received quotes from other dealers with excellent offers. I requested that they present their best offer in writing so that I may compare offers and make my decision. The first offer the salesman returned with was a joke. The out-the-door price on a car with an MSRP of $37,110 was nearly $40,000. I scoffed at the offer. The salesman then said that this wasn’t necessarily the best price I could get. Apparently they did not understand what I meant when I asked for their best offer. The salesman went and got the sales manager to whom I again explained that I do not play games and I wanted their very best offer on the table. After a slightly unpleasant conversation, they left and a few minutes later the salesman returned with an offer that was $600 or $700 lower than the first. I then went to lunch to make my decision and determined that their “best offer” was significantly off the mark compared to dealerships in Sanford and Tampa (that are owned by the same family). I called the salesman and explained that they had come up short and that I would not be doing business with them. Less than an hour later, I receive a call back from him with a new “last ditch offer to try to keep your business”. Their offer of $38,444 was finally in the ballpark of the other offers I received and I would have accepted it gladly had they provided it when I asked for their best offer. My takeaway from this experience is that some dealerships only give you a good price as a last resort while others will offer it up front. The offers I received from the dealerships in Sanford and Tampa without any haggling or brinksmanship were still lower than the offer Subaru of Melbourne presented as a last resort. Myself, I prefer to do business with people that don’t try to rip me off. If you’re thinking about buying a Subaru, please put in the leg work before you decide where to buy. Just going on Subaru.com and clicking the “Get EPrice” button while looking at dealer inventory will help you sort out the honest and upfront dealerships from those that will try to take advantage of you. You’ll find that some dealerships respond with a “web price” that’s significantly below MSRP or they offer pricing 1% above invoice. At least in my case, these dealerships were the best.

BEST Dealership EVER!

This dealership was THE FIRST dealership that I enjoyed being at! They were patient, caring, provided support, decision making assistance, and did not push anything on me! I would recommend ANYONE to this dealership. The care and love my daughter and I felt here was amazing! I'm so happy we are part of the Subaru family!
