Less is more!

When does a dealership give you more, by "selling" you less? Repair service that is! I was so happy to consult with my service advisor and service manager at Volvo of Westport following their examination of my 2009, S80. The vehicle has "high mileage", thank you Volvo, and needed some work. The happiness for me was the recommendation by Volvo of Westport. It was to do nothing! That's right, you read it right! My dealership advised me to NOT do work that was technically needed but not wise from a practical standpoint! Thank you for your outstanding consideration to a customer's needs.

Friendly and attentive service ...

I get my car serviced by Volvo of Westport. Eric Moretti is super attentive and caring to the point that he even had my car next to the awning on a very rainy day so that I won't get soaked getting back in. No push for "additional services" and a no-nonsense approach keeps me going back to these guys. They sell by not trying too hard to sell.

Great cars and a great staff at Volvo of Westport

Let’s face it. Car buying can be a real pain some times. Just deciding on the car you want and the options that are right for you can be hard enough, but the prospects of having to deal with hard driving sales associates can be downright intimidating. Fortunately for us we were drawn to Volvo of Westport by their high quality, fairly priced inventory of cars. When we arrived at the dealership to look at a particular XC90 we were interested in, we were promptly greeted by Lee Weston. Lee proved to be a genuinely nice and patient sales consultant, who was both very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. He provided us every opportunity to inspect, test drive, and discuss with him the XC90 and its numerous options and features and never pressured us. Not only did Lee help us to explore our various choices relative to the purchase of our new care, he also took the time to get to know us, and discuss with us our interests and hobbies. By the time we had reached our decision to purchase the car, we found ourselves to be relaxed, stress free, and confident in our decision. We were also very pleased with the customer service provided by John Daley who helped us to complete the various forms and paperwork involved with the purchase of the car. John was a very friendly and accommodating person and similarly took the time to get to know both my wife and I. John answered every question we had and very thoroughly explained for us each document that was to be completed. Straight-forward, great buying experience

I met with Lee, the sales representative, and looked at a few Volvos on the lot, but finally settled on a 2010 S40. I financed the car, so the dealership was helpful in facilitating all the necessary transactions and was there through the step-by-step process. It was a great experience overall, and was able to drive away with the car on the same day. Lee was honest and straight-forward and because of him, I would buy again from Volvo of Westport.

Honest Advice

Each time I visit the dealership Eric has already reviewed my reservation and I'm greeted with a smile. Although this is not the closest Volvo dealership to my house its definitely worth driving or towing the extra miles to get my S70& Xc90 serviced. The honest advice and the entire experience is top notch! Eric goes that extra mile and sincerely cares about his customers. Thank You!

Superior Service

It's been a pleasure working with Steve Kowalcyk over the last several years. He's an outstanding service advisor who has been instrumental in keeping my 2007 XC 70 running and looking like new, which is no small feat at 160,000 miles. At the end of my last service, Steve recommended an exterior detailing to remove the tree sap which speckled the hood and rooftop. The detailing was done today with fantastic results - it looks like my Volvo received a ruby metallic paint job! Steve told me to "enjoy the shine" and I will.

30,000 Mile Service

An amazing experience from start to finish. Reservation easy. Arrived on time and greeted by Jessica. Very friendly and professional, had been expecting me. Jessica explained what the service entailed, what was already covered and what was not and that total cost should be about $40. After that, Jessica showed me to the waiting area and pointed out where i could get coffee & bagels. Said it should take no more than a couple of hours. She checked on me after about 45 minutes to see if everything was ok, and was back after an hour and a half to say the car was ready to go and that it had been washed. Why isnt every car dealer like this? Thank you Volvo of Westport and thank you Jessica!! Geoff Brown, Wilton, CT.

Excellent 60,000 service appointment for my 2011 XC 60. Stephen Kowalcyk is an excellent advisor. He explained everything in detail. My Volvo was checked out bumper to bumper.

Jorge Calvo

Hello All, This is a review that I should have written a while ago and it concerns Jorge Calvo. I have 3 Volvo wagons: two 1996 850s and 1999 XC. From time to time, I have to stop the service desk to arrange for “dealer only” service items on my cars. On those occasions, by design or luck I seem to always wind up with Jorge Calvo. I confess, I may have a secret bias. I say that, because every time I have dealt with Jorge, he has been very pleasant and thorough. I’m sure all the service writers at Volvo of Westport are good, but I have to say when Jorge says he will make sure something is done, it will get done. If he doesn’t know the answer to your question, he will get back to you quickly with the answer. Recently, I had to get a duplicate key made for my ’99 XC because my oldest daughter had just gotten her license. I mentioned that I had three daughters. When I went to pick up the key, he presented me with 3 Volvo of Westport key fobs. He said: “Your daughters may fight over who drives the ’99 XC, but at least they won’t have to fight over key fobs.” I thought that was a thoughtful gesture and nice touch. Like I said, based upon that positive experience and others I always make a point to say “Hello” to Jorge on my way to the Parts Dept. I hope this is helpful to others. Hugh J. Donnelly, Esq.

great service

I want to start off by saying I did not buy my car from this dealership. But the next Volvo my family purchases will be from Volvo of Westport. The service department went to bat for me when my car was out of warranty. With the help of Erric and the service manager they were able to get my all wheel drive part covered for me. This was almost a $1,500 part. I did have to cover the labor,which was helped out with an online coupon Erric had offered me.Thank you again for your great service. Rberg

Jorge Calvo stands out from the rest because he is personable, knowledgable, shoots for perfection in anything he does!!! I wouldnt let anyone else service my car because he knows more and sees to it that he looks everything over like a fine tooth comb. My car appears like it is new when it leaves. It is cleaned inside and out and washed and it shines. The car drives like a dream. I love the way you are treated. Pure excellence only from Volvo..... Excellence only from Jorge Calvo. Highly recommend him and Volvo.

Professional and Compassionate

Through the years, and before I had the luxury of owning a Volvo, I often dreaded going to the service department to talk shop. It had gotten to the point where I had to make sure I had a male come with me so that I could be taken seriously. Then I bought through Volvo of Westport and met Jorge Calvo. He's always treated me with respect and professionalism. He's since moved up to Asst. Manager, and I can see why! Anyone that wants to be taken seriously and treated right go see Jorge.

Glad I purchased a Volvo

Having just recently purchased a used Volvo s60 for my daughter to use in college, I called service to ask about checking the car out, I was told by Erric in service that there was a special on a timing belt service if it was needed, (and it was) and that I would not have to pay for the check out if i did any of the recommendations they found, and I could have a loaner to use while the work was done! Luckily the car was safe, well taken care of and didn't need much except the timing belt and a few bulbs. I will not hesitate to call Volvo Westport if there is anything else my daughter needs fixed on her car.

I recently visited Volvo of Westport to service my XC60. I love my car and I am extremely happy with how my service went. Its usually so much of a hassle to take time off or adjust my schedule to service my vehicle, but not here. Erric had a loaner waiting for me to use while my Volvo was in for service, my car was washed & even finished before the end of the day! Your dealership always makes it easy for me to keep going on with my daily life AND get my car serviced! A truly outstanding dealership. Thanks!

Rude condescending attitude

Above and Beyond Service

I am not one to usually write reviews, either good or bad but I am so appreciative as to how Erric handled my situation that I wanted to make sure it was known. I was out of the area, traveling 8 months pregnant with my two toddlers and I got a flat tire. He orchestrated the entire repair process with the closest dealership, and made sure that the service that I received at the other dealership was covered just as it would have been in Westport despite the fact that the other dealership initially wouldn't cooperate. He made a tough situation more manageable and then was quick to get me in for the additional work upon my return that wasn't able to be completed at the other dealership. He is great to work with and I would recommend him highly. Thank you Erric!

I am a long time customer of Volvo of Westport for both car purchases and servicing, and have nothing but high praise for the management, service advisors, and technicians. I have brought my cars to them for everything from major engine and transmission repairs, to less serious issues and continue to be impressed by their "one and done" practice. I have always been treated with respect, courtesy, and excellent car repair advice and service. My recent visit involved replacing the side mirror motor on my XC70. As I explained the problem to the service advisor, George, he went over to look at the mirror himself, explained the problem, repair, and cost in detail. His depth of knowledge allowed him to diagnose the problem and estimate the cost thoroughly. At times, I have been invited into the work area to witness the broken or damaged car parts firsthand.The work area was neat and organized. The physical condition and atmosphere is always positive, professional, and courteous. The waiting area is comfortable with complementary WIFI and Keurig coffee machine and the restrooms clean.The loaners are beautiful, new cars that allow you to see the latest in Volvo technology. Volvos continue to be quality cars for performance, durability, and safety. The technicians at Volvo of Westport have expansive knowledge in all aspects of technical service from engines to transmissions, to suspensions to you name it. No job is ever too big or small. I like the fact that my car is serviced by those that know it best and have proven to be adept in problem solving and repair. I highly recommend Volvo of Westport.
