Great work from Jose Ortega and Jason on the WI Simonson service team. I very much appreciate their efforts in quickly fixing my E350 at a minimal expense by utilizing the best diagnostics and leveraging the advantages of Mercedes’ extended warranty programs. Excellent work guys. I will continue to use their service dept with this car and future MB cars. Well done!

INITIALLY FAILED TO RETURN REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

I put a deposit down on a car in November. The dealership did not follow up with me regarding the car so I ended up purchasing it elsewhere. Despite calling, emailing and re-calling and re-emailing Andrew over a 4 233k period to get my deposit back, it never was received, so I had to escalate it. Thus, this dealership has bad business practices. Buyers beware!

Costly

I came in for scheduled appointment which went fine. I needed a 40,000 mile transmission care and oil change. Once I was home I received a call stating that they forgot to tell me I needed new spark plugs at six years for my car. So I asked the representative Rey how much and he said it would be $800 more. I think it’s out rages you want $800 for six spark plugs, although I know they are more expensive to make these, but 800 means it’s all labor . I am going to pursue private Mercedes service companies since I no longer have a warranty on the car and I think I’m always over paying for the Mercedes service department. I brought to you over the years three or four Mercedes to for service and I’ve always thought your expensive. I think now is the time to change .

Derrick Franklin was my service advisor I received excellent, prompt and honest service. The work was completed on time. Derrick has been with W.I. Simonson before it recently became Sonic Automotive. I am hoping that the same excellent service I have received from Simonson over the many years will continue with Sonic.

WI Simonson Left Us Stranded

W.I. Simonson left us STRANDED, without a car ALL weekend! Dropped our car off there this morning at 10:45am for routine service B. We were not told how long it would take nor their weekend hours. Received a text (not call) at 4:01PM ON A SATURDAY that the car is ready. Checked their website and to our surprise, found out they close at 5 pm and are closed Sunday. We tried calling them immediately but no one answered. If you live in LA, you know you can't get ANYWHERE, let alone to SANTA MONICA in 59 minutes. Called their sales office next door and the RUDE receptionist didn't care at all about our situation and just kept saying "you should've told them to bring your keys to the dealership". How could I have done that if I didn't know when the car would be ready? They didn't even have the decency to call us and tell us "Your car is ready but we close in 59 minutes. Would you like us to take the keys to the dealership?" BUT NO. That was too hard. So now we're stuck until Monday without a car. You better believe we're making them pick us up Monday morning because we are NOT paying for our own transportation there because of their stupid mistake. We will definitely NOT be returning to this terrible location with zero common sense or customer service.

Preowned not goid

The salesman Elijah rushed the deal he was aggressive arrogant in the end just right when the ink dried on the contract I had notice the tent damaged on the windows and brought this to his attention and asked for help to fix the scratches on the tent he told me no it was there already but you purchased as is. Trying not to get anger toward him I said nothing then the check left low beam light came on I made him aware of this he was like bring it in and he show me what to do. I thought to call the service department cause if it say check something then they specialized in that area. Many texts went back and forth but the finally straw was how he spoke to me on July 20th that was provoking arrogant rude and hostile and I couldn't comprehend the switch but I knew I wanted to entertain him and act just as nasty toward him but I called and spoke to Jessica who tooling my information and to date I never got a car . I encounter such aggressive with both Elijah and the finance person he switch me to that I just want to take the car back and let it be a Reno but I purchased the car for my daughter who is 3000 miles away and is in need of a car to be independent and get around her her own and not rely on others to transport her. I don't care about bad credit I've been there she is what's holding me together but Elijah has an idiot side to him and he's very uncomfortable and so adolansant behavior if I entertain him I would be walked off the car lot in hand cuffs. So I will let him be the shallow man he is working with a small mine I don't understand why management hasn't reached out to me to resolved my issues and take displinary actions on Elijah if you do purchase a car from them avid him and Sabin the manager as well that's crappy business to never return a call from a customer with issues on a purchase. I glad social media is available to reviews business both bad and good I didn't even want to rate a one. Elijah your a horrible salesman and person for that matter you see that when you look at yourself I'm sure.

Rude service, impolite

Had a repair on our car at W.I Simonson (w222 S550). There were plenty of reasons why I headed to this dealership in the first place. I had a couple of our Mercedes Benz serviced here before.... It was great and painless. Except this time, when we came in, I was greeted with an S.A named Volkan S. Shady guy, dodged all the questions, in person and on the phone. We left our car there for a good month for a minor fender damage, broken headlight and scratched bumper. The reason why we got it towed there was because it had a "power steering malfunction" warning. Now mind you, the vehicle only had minor exterior damage, so we weren't expecting a $10K bill. Thats right! 10K and thats not including to repair the exterior damage. They said that we had to replace the power steering system and what not. I was shocked to say the least, so I made my way down to the dealer. Asked to get the car out, power steering was working normally. ( I too have requested over the phone for the computer to be resetted and what not but he insisted that the power steering is still broken) By this time, Volkan seems annoyed and frustrated. I told him that since nothing was done, we just wanted the car out. I asked him if it was Free of Charge, he then got REALLY annoyed, proceeded to see that I was driving a Jaguar that day and decided to berate it. It kind of goes like this "do you think this is a Jaguar? where everything is free? Jaguar is xxxx, etcetc". I was appalled that they have this kind of employee working at Mercedes Benz. Maybe he was having a bad day, but sorry, that is no way to talk to a customer. Spoke with the manager, not sure if anything got resolved. On the other hand, I do have a great S.A before Volkan... Jim! Highly recommended :)

BEST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO

I am a first time car buyer and made the decision to lease a Mercedes. I shopped around at other dealerships and my experiences were so bad, I almost gave up on looking for a car because I got so frustrated and hate the process of buying a new car and negotiation. I decided to try one more dealership W.I. Simonson Mercedes Benz and I ended up getting the car of my dreams. I had the pleaser of working with Brian Lane to find exactly what it was I wanted with the price range I can afford. He was so pleasant to work with, not pushy at all like most sales men can be, he was also really knowledgable and didn't come off as trying just to make a sale he really wanted to make sure we were satisfied and had a good experience. Steven the sales manager was also very helpful in getting me a good deal on the car I wanted. He was super friendly and humble unlike most sales managers. I will definitely be buying more cars in the future from this dealership and from Brian Lane!!!!

I took my recently purchased new C300 to the service dept. without an appointment for an issue I was having with my runflat tires. Service advisor Derrick Franklin was very quick and thorough while inspecting and writting up the service order. He noticed and pointed out another issue that I had with another one of my tires. He got on the phone right away and made sure the parts necessary were in stock and had my car immediately in service. He asked me to go the waiting area while my car was being repaired. I was stunned ! A short while later my car was repaired and washed. Incredible. Derrick was very curteous, thorough and polite. I have a couple of other Mercedes dealers closer to where I live but there but this is one of the many reasons i choose Simonson Mercedes in Santa Monica. Phenomenal Job guys!!!

I had a terrible experience with W.I. Simonson in Santa Monica. I’ve been driving Mercedes Benz cars for over 25 years. This is my 6th M.B. and I’ve never had any problems with any other Mercedes dealers. This time I bought a certified pre-owned CLS 550 from W.I. Simonson; that’s when the nightmare began. I felt I was treated as a second-class customer because the vehicle I bought was pre-owned. When I first noticed the car had several things that need to be fixed, I notified the salesman and also sent him several pictures of the problems right away. The salesman told me several times "You're not buying a new car." Instead of offering to help, he asked me to deal with these issues with his 2 managers by myself. Finally, one of the managers offered to make the repairs. The first time, they didn't fix the rear bumper issue, so I sent the car back for a second time. This time it was at there for 10 days. When I picked up the car, I was very disappointed in their work. They removed and re-installed the front bumper for the repair, but they broke the grille trim and Mercedes logo without telling me, hoping I wouldn't see it. Since they fixed one thing and damaged another, I totally lost confidence in this dealership. I don’t trust them and I’ll never go back. If you are looking to buy a pre-owned Merceds Benz, look elsewhere!

From start to finish I was totally impressed with the service and repairs at WI Simonson. The text message updates I got from the team there were easy and simple, the drop off and courtesy car process was easy too. The costs were reasonable and fair and this was after I'd compared them to other Mercedes service depts in LA! But Most of all the guy I dealt with (Tim Siegel) was crazy good! He was so informative, so genuine, it made the whole process a pleasure! he made my experience an amazing one and I never thought I d say that about a car service center! 5 Stars!

Friendly buying like buying from friends

A Mercedes is a luxury car. As such, you can expect extremely high customer service. With WI Simonson and my Sales Partner, Hamlet, I get that AND I get someone who's willing to work with me to give me exactly the car I want. This is the third car I'm getting with them and they've always helped me as much as they can, especially when I wanted to get out of a lease or trade in my car from a different brand at lease end. I can't speak well enough of Hamlet and his entire team. For me, buying a car will always be this easy because I will always buy my cars with them!

Andrew, as always outstanding service and he knows his cars. I like going back to the same dealership and the same sales person, the experience is much better and more personal. Andrew knows all of the drivers in my family and asses their needs before arriving to the showroom; always prepared and ready to help in any way. We have been buying from W.I Simonson because of Andrew Morgan and of course price.

I had a great experience leasing my new 2016 C300. Brian in sales is a great guy who really shows pleasure working with you and not concerned as much as to just make a sale. I came to see him this past summer and spent some time with him. Then I wasnt ready to lease until this past dec, I stopped by to see Brian again and he made it EXACTLY what I wanted for me. He got me the car I want, at the price I want it, with color combinations that I want it, and I was able to pick up my ride the next day and take it to work. Not only that, when I went to Carmax to sell my car, Brian came to pick me up on the morning himself from Carmax and brought me to the dealership to take ownership of my new Mercedes. You want great sales experience, make sure you go and see Brian if you want to buy a Benz. Steven Nicolas was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very few great sales managers out there like him. Awesome guy who helped me to get exactly what I wanted!! I am very happy that I came to W I Simonson to lease a Mercedes.
