Great maintenance service

The emplyees at Westside Nissan were friendly. I was offered coffee, snacks, and a comfortable place to sit and watch tv. They were very informative when I was short money, as to where to find my bank. The wait is average time for me of about 2 hours because of other cars ahead of me somtimes or maybe it's my car their working on and just running checks. I don't want to go somewhere else where they do a rush job on my car and mess things up to cause me to be upset. Great job.

Sales experience

We just bought a car from Keith at Westside Nissan. He was a wonderful salesperson and answered all of our questions. But after the sale is what was truly great. My daughter lives in Gainesville and he arranged to have a service done for her down in Gainesville. The experience was excellent.

This place is the worst.

I went in because they e-mailed me and told me if I came in and test drove one of their vehicles I would receive a $25 visa gift card. Well, I have yet to receive the card and when I try to ask about it I either don't get a response to my e-mail or a answering machine when I call. Plus, the salesman (O.J.) knew less about the Titan platform than I did. I understand they may not be located in the best part of town, but some of us come from all over the place to shop for vehicles. Now I see why they have to spam people with apparently fraudulent offers to make them come in because I honestly think you would be better off with the crooks at the shady buy here pay here places down the street. Avoid this place at all cost.

Bait and Switch PROS

Be VERY careful when dealing with this location. Bait and switch seems to be the common practice, management on up! Plenty of other locations to buy from in the Jax area.

First service

Beware

I took my 2015 Nissan versa in for what I thought to be something minor. My car was driving perfectly fine but the check engine light was on. I had a 9:30 appointment. When I got there the unprofessional service adviser asked if I had a ride. I said I just want to know why the check engine light is on I am prepared to wait until around noon. She told me it will be 4:00 pm before they know what's wrong with my car.. Something in the pit of my stomach told me to leave with my car. She insisted that if I didn't have someone to pick me up that I could reschedule. Everything about this appointment seemed unorthodox. I asked her why do you make appointments if you can't find out what's wrong with your car until the afternoon. Sure enough I left my car after I told her that all of my windows were down because I had just took my car and had the seats and carpet shampooed and it wasn't dry yet.. I called about 1 and she stated they didn't know yet. At 4 pm dead on the head and said they had bad news my car was dead and none of the $7189 estimate is not covered under my gold power train warranty that by the way I have never had to use. Because they told the warranty company my floor was wet and my car had been flooded. So go pick up my car and I drive it about 2 miles from the dealer and all of the lights on my dashboard light up. It looks like a Christmas tree and my car shuts off. I have my car towed to my personal mechanic only to find out the transmission is shot. And that was not even one of the things listed on the estimate.the car now only goes in reverse. Not sure what all they did to my car when I got there my back seat was pulled completely out and I had to have the technician take the car in the back a reinstall it. BEWARE this is no place to take your carpet.

I'm was legally ROBED

Im usually a pretty easy going kind of gal, however this will be my first and last car I ever buy from here. I don't recommend it. They state new cars has bumper to bumper however when I claim that particular warranty, Nissan wants to charge me for the part wich is 150 plus maintance that comes with the vehicle does NOT COVER NOTHING BUT OIL CHANGE THAT IT AND ONLY FOR A YR. I WISH I WOULDVE BEEN TOLD THIS BY JUAN WHICH WAS MY SALES PERSON I had purchase before @ Toyota and never had issues with them. Might have to go back. Worst purchase in my lifeeeeeee

Unprofessional receptionist and unprofessional managers

I went here to look at a suburban. I test drove it and we sat down to get all of my information. All of the paper work said that I was approved and all I needed to do was sign. All of a sudden they wanted my husband to cosign and we were confused but put him on anyway. He is a retired vet who can't work in corporate world because he has PTSD so bad he feels like everyone is trying to or wants to kill him so he does yard work as side jobs to bring money in. With what he makes on these side jobs he can't prove exactly what he makes but we gave a rough estimate plus his retirement disability from the military. They assured us that all was well and that we just needed to get the title for my car I was traiding in and his retirement disability from. We drove all the way back across town and came back. When we came back they told us we can't do anything without a third cosigner. Now if that were the case the communication should have been there and they should have told us that me alone would not be enough and we would have walked. Then they tried to get me into other vehicles that I would have absolutely hated to drive every day. The communication was not there to the sales associate and also to us. He had no idea what was going on and neither did my husband and I. Then the manager was rude to me when I spoke with him. I should have walked out when I saw the receptionist on her phone, headphones in, eating lunch at the desk and not attentive at all. I will NEVER return to this dealership. I will NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Great car, Communication needs work

I bought a brand new 2015 from this dealership and loved the customer service we received at the time of purchase. The service department and sales department are not at the same customer service level, unfortunately. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and gave them all my information over the phone. When I showed up to the appointment, they asked me if I had ever been there before. (A little frustrating since my records are in front of them). When they call to make recommendations, they base it off mileage, not the wear and tear on the car. Luckily, my husband caught some of the things they were recommending that had just been done 4 months ago. When we stated this to the service rep, they said, "Oh ok, we will check your records and see if it's still recommended." It's just one of those simple things where you expect someone to look at your services completed before recommending something to make some money. My next call was just to let me know that my car was ready. When I got into the service department, there was attitude when we asked what had been completed on my vehicle. It really just comes down to communication! Love the car :-)

Rip off and dishonest!

I went to Westside Nissan today on Cassat Ave. I had an appointment at 9 AM to resolve a recall and to have my window looked at. After 5 hours I called to get a status on my vehicle, they said the master switch was broken and would call me back with a quote. An hour later no one called me so I called back, my service advisor was busy and they said she would call me back.... she never did. So my husband drove me up there and my car was sitting out front. Window down and stuck. They said my motor and regulator were broken and I can bring it back tomorrow and it will cost $700. I told them I wasn't leaving with my window down since I arrived there with it in the UP position. It took an hour plus to get the window up (total of 7 hours now). I left paying $115 just to be told this information and was scolded for telling him (the manager Mike) that I would not be back tomorrow after he had already ordered the parts. I never told him to order anything, no one ever responded to my calls throughout the day. Needless to say I have only used Westside Nissan for all of my car concerns and I will never use them again. I called one other shop with 5 star reviews and was quoted $325 for the entire job. They (not Westside Nissan) will get my business from now on! Ps. This is 100% manager fault. He works his advisors to death.
