Kia Sorento

Came into the dealership on a thursday....JUST LOOKING.....looked around for a bit....Was approached by Wismar Ventura...I didn't know whether I wanted a Sorento or a sportage. So we went for a drive in a Sorento, wismar told me he himself owns a Sorento so he knew it inside and out....Wis mar asked if I got an incredible deal, would I take it home today? After a bit of negotiation....came to an agreeable number....Met his manager Efrain, got the right number on my trade in... Highly recommend these guys....Stand up, honest guys...you don't find that in the car business.

First time buying a Kia and I recommend anyone buying a Kia to go to Yonkers Kia! They listened to my needs, were very cordial and acommodating. The sales person Tim took his time and introduced me and my wife to the General Sales Manager Ray Laureano and to the owner Darwin oliva. The two of them came to the desk where my family was sitting, gave balloons to my kids, got us coffee, ordered lunch for us and even gave us a certificate to a place "Rancho Grande" great good by the way. A few hours later we came out of the dealer driving a brand new Kia Sedona! Great place, great atmosphere . Thanks Yonkers Kia

Came in with my daughter wanted to buy her Car she just Graduated from college.My girlfriend recommended Harold. Harold made us feel like family,he was very honest. I knew we were in Good hands and not with a slick salesman trying to get over on us. Harold offer us info that you would normally not be aware of. We left getting a car my daughter like and will be safe in and a new friend name Harold.

Unique Experience

Went in to trade in my 2014 Sorento for a 2017 Sedona. I worked with two salesman and both were new to dealership and new to the job. They were inexperienced but enthusiastic and honest. We spent several hours to make a deal happen considering I did not want to put a lot of money as a down payment. In the end, I got a great new Sedona at an affordable monthly price.

constant emails. never answer questions.

I contacted them via email. I was looking for a specific vehicle. They actually never answered my question and instead constantly email me about...we want to make you happy, how are we doing, we can help you, yada yada yada. And the emails.....MY GOD, they never stop from Yonkers. I think the UNSUBSCRIBE button is wired to their system to SEND MORE EMAILS. Going on 4 months now. Cleaerly they No respect for customer requests and they have no interest in answering customer questions.

UNLAWFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES! CROOKS!

*****TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW!!!!!***** Kia of Yonkers, located on Central Avenue, is full of criminals that preform unlawful business practices. I strongly urge anyone from giving their business and money to this location. I am not familiar with any other Kia location, but from my recent experience in Yonkers, I can confidently say the managers and staff are unethical and unprofessional to the fullest degree. If you are reading this, I am actually begging you to not be fooled by the “slick” salesmen and managers, and to go elsewhere with your money! My mom, my boyfriend, and I went to Kia on a Sunday afternoon to look at the cars and get some information. We were immediately attracted to a Charcoal Gray Sorento XS with a wine colored interior; this vehicle had all the “bells and whistles.” My mom became interested in leasing this vehicle, which is one of the top models of this particular SUV. We didn’t test drive it at the time because we simply did not have time and wanted to get a feel for what the price would be like to lease first. We sit down with Salesman Michael Del Valle and we were able to come up with a few numbers. We all agreed that Monday, the following day, would be a better time to test drive the car and dive deeper into a potential deal. Monday arrives and 5:45pm the three of us show up. We receive some very elaborate and fabricated story about how the keys for the Charcoal Gray vehicle have disappeared, they keys are missing. Note - we just looked at the car the day before, so where did the keys supposedly go? We waited, like fools, for about 2 hours. There happened to be an accident outside on Central Avenue which grabbed the attention of ALL the salespeople. NO ONE was paying attention to us, NO ONE was offering us water/coffee, NO ONE was apologizing for the inconvenience of keeping us there for such a long period of time. After about 2 hours, we decide to leave and take our business elsewhere. A manager approached me and said in light of the crazy situation, they still cannot find the keys and they would like to do the deal with giving us 3 years free service to make up for the experience. While that is nice, I simply was looking for a better overall price per month to lease the vehicle. He goes to speak to his boss and comes back to inform me they dropped the price down a bit more which was still not good enough. The manager gets very defensive and rude, utterly unprofessional, and this caused some back and forth between him and me. My family and I walked out with no vehicle and no deal. As we are walking to our car, the “boss” chases after me and my family in attempts to rectify the situation and find out what happened. At this point, we had been waiting long enough and were overly frustrated with the lack of customer service and lack of concern for the customer. He simply says he will make the deal, whatever we want, and to follow him inside and he can help and he will make it happen. Why didn’t we just leave and forget it you ask? I still cannot fathom myself why we didn’t leave. Stupidly, we go inside and push numbers around to find out that they in fact will make the deal I am looking for. We begin the paperwork, at this point it is dark and it is late, about 8:00pm. Then, a MIRACLE happens and the staff somehow just finds the keys … wow! They just appeared out of thin air! And all of a sudden, they are going to send the car to be detailed, cleaned, and fill the tank so we can drive it off the lot that night. Paper work continues, and we are almost at the finish line until Michael tells us we need to speak to the business manager about the deal. I have been leasing cars since I was 18 years old (with help from my father) and have never had to deal with a business manager. This man, Andrew, tells my mom that her credit is not great and falls into a specific “tier” which will end up affecting the price per month for the lease. He is going on and on about credit, tiers, and pricings. In all my years I have never dealt with this. I, myself, drive a Lexus and didn’t even have to go through any of this! Everything was nonsense! Why would the “BIG BOSS” tell me he will give us the deal but then send me to another person to further have to work out a deal? At this point, we have waited 5 hours, watched the sales team mess around on the floor, pay more attention to the accident outside than the customers inside, play a game with us about lost keys, and now you want to tell me the deal still isn’t set in stone? The business manager proceeds to tell us that he has 2 contracts laid out that my mom will have to sign since the banks are closed. OF COURSE THE BANKS ARE CLOSED, YOU KEPT US THERE TILL 9:00 AT NIGHT! And no Sir, we will NOT be signing any contracts. I truly would love to get into the finances in this review, but the dollar amounts are not relevant. What is relevant here is the way these people do business. Although we got lost in their game, we held our ground. We will not be pressured into ANYTHING and we will not sign anything that doesn’t seem accurate. They were trying to get money out of us from every which way, and maybe that works on other customers, but not with me. I seriously and strongly urge you to pay attention to every little thing that the salesman says. They will try and try to play games with you. Pay attention to the warning signs – making you wait, telling stories, going back and forth to the “manager”, ect. DO NOT be fooled by these men, they only want to steal money from you unethically and basically rob you blind. Overall, at the end of the day, we did not sign anything and we didn’t get a vehicle. I will be contacting Kia Headquarters/Corporation and I will be posting my experience on every social media outlet I can find. Kia’s Facebook Page, Dealerrator.com, Yonkers Kia Facebook Page, Yonkers Kia website, Yelp.com, and any other site I can think of. I also will be telling every single person I know to NEVER give business to Kia. You might be thinking – Relax! It’s not that big of a deal! But trust me, it is. These people are stealing money from customers who unfortunately don’t know enough about leasing a car to walk away when things get unethical. They are singling out people they consider “suckers” and STEALING from them with hidden fees and backwards leasing processes. They conduct business fraudulently and illegally, they made that very obvious considering what happened to me and my family. My end note – PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT give your business to Yonkers Kia. If my review saves even 1 person from going through what I went through, I will be satisfied.

Sub par vehicles and unethical sales practices

Received a malfunctioning "new" vehicle from this dealership that their service department could not repair. This dealerships sales practices are shameful. Our vehicle registration paperwork wasn't completed properly either, so back office is no better than sales. Buyers beware this dealership and check other sites for reviews before going to Yonkers, Kia.

Kia is filled wity lying double talking sales, & management

Do not buy a car from Kia or Kia of Yonkers. I still have the flyer they sent us promising not to charge for the wear n tear, overage mileage, and the remaining 6 months lease payments, which by the way I only have 3 left. After speaking to them for hours, and coming back the next day to sign the papers to seal the deal and the above promises they made, they turned the tables and told us we would have to pay for everything up front, all the over mileage, the wear and tear and the remaining months on the lease, so they lied to our face. The said if we did not pay the charges up front, they would put the costs on to the price of the new car. We have excellent credit, so that is not the problem, the problem is Kia and the way they lie to get you to come in and sign with them. Those flyers Kia sends you are nothing but a bunch of double talk and lies, by the sales people, the Managers, GM manager and the owner. Do what I am doing and look for any other dealer other than Kia or Hyundia, they own both and research because they own others as well, stay away

"Clearly The Best"

I visited multiple dealerships and met with lots of sales people, along with managers in my search for a 2017 Kia Sportage SX, only to be disappointed by their lack of professionalism. It wasn't until I found Yonkers Kia that I realized I should've come here from the very beginning. Julio Grullon, my sale man was very upfront, and professional in locating this vehicle for me, he even came to pick me up at my house to bring me to the dealership since I didn't have a ride there. I am long time car leaser, and I have to say leasing the Sportage from Yonkers Kia was the easiest, and painless experience I've ever had. Every step along the way was handled with professionalism, and courtesy, from Julio my salesman, to Sal the general sales manger, Beenie the finance manager, and even the general manger Darwin, each one was straight to the point, no hassle, outstanding!! It's no wonder why Yonkers Kia is the #1 dealership in the tri-state

I have a remote starter that I couldn't get to work. Darlyn personally reprogrammed both remotes. I would buy another Kia just based on my experience with Ms. Davis. Two thumbs up!
